Are You Capable Of Love Anymore?

I don't think I am. I've been in love twice in my life. The first time was my first love, which of course was destined to end since that's the job of a first love: to break you.

I fell in love again a few years later, but it didn't work out. I guess I didn't love her enough or something.

Each girl I get involved with I love less and less and I fear my capacity for "love" will soon reach a permanent minimum...or just no capacity for it at all. Oh yeah, the jealousy and feelings of worthlessness will still be there of course....they NEVER leave. But love.... it's fleeting.

I'm just not impressed by women anymore. It's like something inside of me is broken and no longer works. Every new girl I fuck I feel the void within me grow wider. Sure, the sex is fun and all... but there's no more passion....genuine passion. Don't feel it anymore. It's great to rack up "notches" and all...but where does it end? Marriage? HA! Death trap. Co-habitation? Yeah right.

It's all the same shit, ya know? It's like every girl is the goddamn same. Nothing special. The chase is always better than the catch, but now even the chase is fucking boring.

How's that for an enthusiastic post?

Why would you want to fall in love with women that don't impress you?

Actually, if you were immune from love, you wouldn't even be worrying about it.

It sounds more like you have the desire, but haven't discovered the right candidate yet.

I think being immune from love would be cool. Then you could do all the fun stuff in life you want to do and not have to get bogged down trying to please someone else.

Bob-

I wish I had the ability to become a true nihilist and not care about anything at all. I keep trying, but I fail over and over.

In my experience, love exists. If you've ever experienced a 'cloud nine' feeling around another person, you know what I'm talking about.

Love is like a flower. It is a beautiful thing in its final state. However, it had to be nurtured and cared for to get it to that state. You might have an infatuation with someone the first time you see them, but LOVE TAKES WORK. Let me repeat that in case you missed it , I said WORKKKKKK.

I think there is a significant gap between what I shoot for and my value to women. I suppose I have somewhat high standards and I guess I wouldn't be considered much of a catch. Hey, if nothing else it makes for a cheap Valentine's Day.

I was in love so often(maybe to often!) in my life it's hard to count.
But it's such a good feeling, I wouldn't like to live w/o it, even when it brings some pain often enough.
On the other hand it's as well easy f.me to hate somebody.

Anyway, I'm half sicilian so I think it's normal;)

I have and I almost regret it, because now I have that standard to meet.

i loved and was rarely "in love". my first serious girlfriend i was inlove with, very much so. but like you said, first loves are there to break you, nothing more or less. there was an inbetween girl, then the one i fell inlove with next was the one that broke my heart insanely hard, became a player after that. loved another girl who busted my ass and ripped my heart out and stomped on it laughing the whole way.

but in the end, the girl who broke my heart and i turned to playin, we worked it out and now we're actually engaged. and you know what? i'm happier than i ever have been in my life. love is a HUGE risk, and for a while inbetween...over a year..i hated the idea of love and didn't want anything to do with it. girls were friends with bennies, nothin more, nothin less.

you are feeling the same thing i was, i think. every girl you hook up with or fuck is just another girl and though they might be falling for you, you just can't find yourself being able to do the same. next thing you know you're not talking to them anymore and the void is just bigger. it sucks bro, and i feel your pain. but when you get to your lowest, that's when love slaps you right upside the head and then says "WAKE THE FUCK UP ASSHOLE! HERE SHE IS!" and then it's a big huge sign staring at you right in the face and sooner or later you give in to it. right now you don't seem to be ready for love, and that's more than fine you're only 31 and still young and able to enjoy life. so go out there and get yours, get some notches and live it up. if you're not ready then you're not ready. but if love shows up don't be afraid to cash in your chips and take the risk, you can't fight your feelings or lack there of.

I love these resurrected posts sometimes. I, myself, have been all over the love spectrum in my nearly half-century onboard here, and I can tell ya one thing for sure: the only constant is change. Just when you've got yerself convinced that something is one thing...turns out the complete opposite.

A lot of how you look at love, or what you anticipate from love, depends on how you define, or characterize, "LOVE".

As Alexander Pope once said, "Blessed is the man with no expectations, for he will never be dissappointed."

I think love should be renamed "person addiction". Being "in love" is simply that, you like the way that person makes you feel, just like a drug. Nothing magic about it really. Being heartbroken is like withdrawal from a drug you've become dependent on to feel good and when you can't have it anymore you want it and can't imagine life without it. Luckily, like drug addiction, the cravings subside and you can move on.

No I don't think I am,and truthfully I don't care. Love is overrated.

Id like to retract this statement and post this instead.

I could love,but truthfully I don't want to,and I don't care if I ever do again.
I think love is overrated. It's funny I could get love in a flash ,probably even get married but I don't want to love. Fuck that shit.

I'm in a relationship with someone; her name is Margaret. She is the best girl in the world.

But apart from that, I'm a misogynist.
I mean I hate being one; I liked back in the day when I considered myself a calm lover of women. Course, I wasn't much of a lover considering I never was liked by women in high school, never was once accepted by a girl, and never knew just how many sexual relationships were going on behind my back while I sat at home having romantic little kissy fantasies about girls I had crushes on (secretly promiscuous girls at that) spending $40 on valentine's candy for HUGS, considering myself SO AWESOME that I was the guy in my school that was a "true christian" (catholic school) and never had sex with anybody not realizing it was just because nobody WANTED to have sex with me, and going through the same bullshit that my friend alongside me went through. In fact, at that one fateful sophomore valentine's dance I sat through for 3 hours moving my feet like some jackass in a diner, when the girl that everybody said "YOU SHOULD GET WITH HER TRISTAN SRSLY" just ditched me to do the slow dance with some other jerkoff, I went home crying my eyes out to the point of it being dangerous for me to drive. It was at that point...something in me snapped. I had given up on women completely. I was sick of the bullshit. And while it sucked to suddenly become asexual, it did feel rather empowering to hate instead of love.

You could say it's also related to penis size issues. I'm glad I get to admit that, because anywhere else it's just a joke. But in all reality, it's some truth. What kind of good woman is "generally nice" but laughs upon seeing a small penis? Even down-to-earth women like me (as in, I'm a down to earth man) do that shit. Sure, they're honest, but that doesn't change things around much. All the millions of wives that cheat on their husbands, all the men that betray other men in the same way, all the superficiality that exists in high schools and colleges, can I even like women anymore? Sure I still look at women and think they're hot but immediately after I don't feel horny, I feel shocked and violent...all because I don't imagine them as nice people at all, and if they really are nice they're just "misguided". Either they're real hardcore christian or just ignorant of the whole penis thing. Even now, with the ability to Penis Enlargement I feel that; cuz why do we Penis Enlargement? We like being better than other men, and we think of that (O.O) look on women's faces. But when you're a guy with a small penis, that look just seems so fucking...fake, or ridiculous, or hurtful, or whatever. (I haven't Penis Enlargement'd yet because I want to see how I fare with my born penis first. That, and I live in a double dorm.)

It was shortly after that experience when I was younger that I met "her". Margaret. I denied asking her out so many times because I knew it would just end up in betrayal. But...the night she said she was in love with me and wanted to be with me, I couldn't help but say yes. And a bunch of worries crossed my mind. But you see, I don't have to worry about sexual issues with her because she's more spiritual, and loves only ME. Because of some mental diagnoses she is a very unique person that only has a sex drive for the Penis EnlargementRSON she's with. And she only came after me...though she suffered the same thing I did, what with being alone a lot. She simply loves the fact that I HAVE a penis, not how big it is. If I were a woman she'd still love me, and obsess over my vagina.
On top of that she's very down to earth, and still manages to remain sweet even though deep down she's as much a fighter and struggler as I. Somehow she manages to be both and make it work. She has also been faithful to me for 2 years of our long-distance relationship. This makes her one of the rarest women on earth. And she still sticks with me and all my misogyny, hatred, inner darkness, and bitterness. She is a 3-Dimensional angel. I'm sure if her female friends knew all of this stuff about me they would all tell her the same thing; "You need to leave that depressed loser and find yourself a nice manly man!" But she's the most understanding person on earth; even more than I am. And I LOVE her.

But she's not every woman. And I do have women friends...but even so, it's tough to feel comfortable around women of any type, especially attractive ones. I'm good at bullshitting what I'm truly feeling if the necessity arises, but I hate it. I mean, I used to write erotic lesbian fiction...and every woman and man that's read my stuff thinks I'm a great writer. But I find I can't do it anymore, because it's as if I was only writing those because I didn't want to talk about penises. In addition, it's as if the characters in the stories consummated their love purely on superficiality. I hated that romantic feeling, because suddenly I was in a reality that romance had no place in.

I happen to like dickgirls. So I do see the fun in huge cocks; for me, there's just more to play with. But even so...a woman can get surgery and the man will be angry at her: "What, did you think I wasn't going to love you if you didn't have huge tits?" But the man starts jelqing and the woman goes "OOH! I'm liking this new part of you!!!"

I even went through a horrible mindset where I began crushing on my own girlfriend's mother, because said mother looked and sounded like an older version of mine own lover. Plus, she was real flirty, and my girlfriend only saw humor in it. Of course I'm sure her mother was just kidding around too, but I began to suspect. After coming down to reality and seeing she was just kidding, it didn't take me long to build fap fantasies off it. And after hearing from my girlfriend that "My mother is depressed that she's not pretty enough, and neither my dad nor I can convince her she is because we're family!" and I began to fantasize about playing the young guy seducing the mother. But when I realized huge cocks played a huge part in that, and was the whole point of woman pedophilia (something I often fantasized about playing the young boy in), no longer could I enjoy that. On top of that, said mother was pretty promiscuous at a young age, so I was just blown away. I felt powerless, useless, and I constantly asked myself "Why? Why do I want this if I can't even do anything, even if I never intended to?" and began to hate her...just as an emotional response because I didn't know how to take it. How would someone like her react at my penis? Probably the same way the majority of women would. I did nothing though, and she and I don't talk much anyway, especially since she's on the other side of the country. Margaret eventually yanked the secret out of me, and while she accepted it, she didn't want me to hate her. That did nothing but make me feel worse. So overall this whole thing is depressing.

And that's how it feels. It feels like women are fake. If they're not fake, they're ignorant. It feels like they take what they want from men, and the only reason men don't hate that is because they're willing to give it to them. They're willing to give their huge cocks to the nasty women. And the women feel powerful, and they can simply laugh at me in my face and feed off my emotional pain. And any woman that doesn't is simply not sexy or too old or whatever.

A lot of people base love on superficiality nowadays. Even me. I mean, we're human like that, so even if we don't want to we still have to. I still say "This woman is attractive" and what not, and even have a low standard for what I consider attractive...probably because some women are simply "available".
Any of you in relationships...can you honestly say that when you saw the person for the first time, you weren't drawn to them because of how they had made themselves out to be attractive?

To sum up, let's say that I wouldn't be able to love if it weren't for Margaret my angel.

Shion I have to say...you're feelings and experiences (a fair chunk of them for the most part) are so similar to my own I have to wonder if you're some sort of long lost brother of mine or something :P

You know what I wonder though? Was the world always this superficial - or does it seem to be a recent trend since the world has become so small now?

Sorry if my posting is a bit incoherent tonight. Heh, it's been absolute hell at work this week and I haven't gotten a wink of sleep and even better I have an early AM meeting tomorrow. Joy lol.

To quote Ross Jeffries: "There's no such "thing" as love. There's no such "thing" as
passion. There's no such "thing" as attraction, or chemistry, or
lust... these states are processes that take place inside the human mind
and body... First, understand you do NOT
fall in love with someone when you are in their presence. No.
You fall in love when you're off by yourself, thinking about
them afterwards."

Which is also true for our unhappiness. It's completely self inflicted. Our happiness is our own responsibility. It's no one's else's fault if we're not happy. Other people don't make us miserable. We do it to ourselves. If we don't like our circumstances, it's up to us to change them.

It's our own beliefs that decide our reality, and beliefs are completely arbitrary. A belief is nothing more than thought coupled with emotion, and rarely do thoughts or emotions that form beliefs have much basis in reality. They are usually based on our assumptions.

To quote Major Mark: “We use models of possibility so we don’t have to think.” & “Whatever you expect to find is that which you will find. Whatever you seek is that which you will find.”

What's the point? Whatever you believe, is true. If you're not happy, if you don't like your reality, then change your ideas. Change what you believe about your world. Don't limit possibility to what you have experienced. The universe is here to provide endless opportunities for you.

I also agree with C-Guy. It is very important to understand the difference between infatuation and love.

Has anyone ever loved the wrong woman?

I think I'm in that position at the minute. She's married with a little boy, and I think I've fallen in love with her.

I can't say for sure if it's 'love', because I've never really felt 'love' for anyone else before this.

But I just feel so complete around her. It's like everything else in my life, all the bullshit - It just vanishes when I'm with her and when I'm talking to her.

She makes me feel like no one else ever has, and, at the minute I'm sure no one else ever will. I'm also not sure I'll ever feel this strongly for someone else again.

I remember somewhere someone describing love as a series of connections so to speak, all on different levels. And obviously the more of these connections that connect with the person you have these feelings for, then the stronger the 'love' between you is.

Only problem was, there will always be someone with even more of these 'connections' and hence you would develop a stronger bond with this person, that is if you got to know them and so on. So yeh, it's hard to describe the word love and just what it actually means to be in love.

But yeh, loving the wrong person fucking sucks! Causes me so much pain to know that I'll never be with her.

I would love to know how she feels about me too, if I could just know that I'd be happy. And if we were in different situations how things might have turned out.
