A thousand and one stupid questions! Click at your own risk.

Alright, as I'm sure my multifaceted and frequent posts have confirmed, I'm a noob when it comes to things such as weight loss, body building, supplements and the like. Sticking with this vein, I have a question!

So I'm reading some of my fitness magazines and I notice and advert for Nitrix, and I'm reading it, and I'm gullible, so I want it, but I know that it's an advert, so it's probably BS. So my question is this: Of all of these supplements and such that are out there, how many of them are worth a damn, and what are they supposed to do? I've noticed the following (Pardon the bad spelling):

Whey Protien
Soy Protien
Creatine
Nitris Oxide (As a powder: NO-Explode and the like)
Nitris Oxide (As a pill: Nitrix and the like)
Testosterone Boosters
Clucosomine
Weight Loss Pills (Stimulant Based)
Weight Loss Pills (Magic Based)
Muscle Milk (And the like)
Estrogen Blockers
Glutamine
Mega-Vitamins (I'm talking 1,667% Vitamin C)

Now I know that the first response is going to be: What are you trying to do? I'm trying to get Brad Pitt's body, but in this case that's beside the point. I really just want to know what each of these is supposed to do and does it actually work? Since not many of us are scientists (I think) I don't expect you to have pages of lab results sitting in front of you, so I'm looking for your opinions on these things. Did you try (X)? Did it work for you? What did it do? Would you recomend it?

Thanks ahead of time!

As a beginner, all you need to worry about is lifting weights using a good program and getting plenty of good food. Protein powders are fine, but I'd stay away from soy protein, it's bad stuff. Other supplements aren't necessary, and they won't really benefit you much as a beginner. Most of them are BS anyway.

The only thing that is essential is protein whey...all the others may become important when you've had some more experience. Don't get soy protein it tends to increase estrogen. anyway Glutamine and vitamin c help you heal faster and they are pretty legit. I tried T-bomb 2 did nothing for me, but at our age i don't think a test booster would do much anway, but i hear vitrix is pretty good. Fatloss supps do work, i prefer a E/C/A stack (cheeaper and more effective), hot rox was real good, xenadrine blew donkey balls. But right now try working out and eating right first, this way you got some aces up your sleeve for when you plateau.

Hey im2manly, I dunno if you answered this question a while ago, but is there any way i can test my testosterone level?

Any easy ways?

That'd be cool :)

The surest way is to get bloodwork done... you may also be able to get your T levels checked using saliva tests but i don't know how acurate they are.

I always was told to stick to the basics, in this case being protien whey and creatine. I would definetly watched what I eat and hit the weights hard.

Any chances I can buy some machine that can test my blood? If not where should I go in order to test my test ;)
