I'm 6 foor 3, muscular but carrying a substantial amount of fat, and this works for me all the time. Im genuine, and I dont like coming off as skeezy. my intentions, however, are always very clear from the beginning.
2 openers I use all the time-
*if you make eye contact for longer than half a second- DO NOT LOOK AWAY! Walk straight up to her with a smirk/grin and say "If your gonna stare, you might as well say hi!" and then introduce yourself.
other opener "do you know if there are any good restaurants in the area? the topic is irrelevant. you can say "do you know where I can buy organic dog food/ wheres a traderjoes/ movie theater, local bank etc etc. *next step- you let them hrm and haw and point and try to help you for a few seconds. Then laugh lightly, and just say "im sorry I dont need to find ___, I just thought you were pretty and I'd be kicking myself all day if I didn't come and talk to you. *introduce yourself.
from here its just regular chit chat and games. If you can make them comfortable around you, your set. Nothing is a big deal unless you make it one, so touch her arms/ shoulders while talking to her, just act like youve known her for ages.
most importantly, be sincere. Dont fake interest. You can be sincere and have a one night stand. It works better that way, girls dont feel cheap afterwards for it.

Im not massively great at the club approach, maybe because Im a student and the clubs are usually so fucking loud that you will either pull because you bump into someone on the dance floor or at the smokers area......either way
I recently tried approaching during the day and its actually really fun and genuine.

Very if i actually go on a date (18 month drought) and i agree it is fairly easy to get more after.
