So, while I have been waiting for a replacement, I figured out that I can use the Mityvac with no silicone ring at all. You can still get a good seal. It’s much easier to get in and out of the cylinder, but I’m curious yawls opinion on which is actually better. That silicone ring may actually work as a ring keeping blood inside. What are your thoughts?

Sounds like a good modification while you wait for replacement

Personally I don’t use the silicone ring. I just smear some lube at the entrance/inside of the tube to get a good seal. That and shaving the pubes away gives me a perfect seal each time.

This is exactly what I'm doing with my mityvac. I also add some lube on my pubic area as well to stop air from entering the pump.

Astro Glide “water play” silicone lube. Splash it on, head to base……easy in and out. And during set breaks, makes massaging blood much more enjoyable.

I need to add, I use this lube for my sessions in our 88 deg. hot tub.👍
