My cell service contract is up FINALLY....VERIZON BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I want to know if like anyone knows how to get ringtones...is it like the cell service has only certain songs to choose from or is it now you can pretty much get any song you want as aring tone....

I want to get "Between the Sheets" on my phone...

I've gone through something to the tune of 5 cellphones in about 2 years. I'm one of those guys who constantly likes changing his phone. My provider makes it very easy to switch handsets and my current handset is a Sony Ericsson T610 (Camera, Polyphonic, Color, all the toys) and it has built-in WAP so I can easily go on the 'net with my phone and download new ringtones (currently, I've got the Star Trek fight music ala Cable Guy) and there's plenty of websites out there that offer free ringtones. Mostly it boils down to if your phone has WAP (otherwise you'll need software and a interface cable, IR works too) and whether or not you can d/l ringtones for it. Google for your phone and see if it can be done.

I have Verizon right now. They're okay, thus far. I really hate Verizon as a company, but that stems from their refusal to comply with a police investigation about harassing calls aimed at my mother and I several years ago. I just reluctantly signed up with them after my T-mobile contract ran out, because they have a much stronger signal at my home.

well sometimes I have trouble gettting a signal in my house. I've had it checked out before and they said it was fine. The phone also gets really hot after like 10 minutes of talk time and they said it was fine. Didn't need a different or new battery or anything. I'm getting a new phone.

iwant8: that happened with me with an older phone of mine. I bought a signal booster (it moves easily from one phone to another) to solve reception problems, cost me like $3 and it's basically a sticker-dealie you attach inside your phone under the battery nearest to the antenna. As for the getting warm, all my phones do that if I talk on it long enough, older models I had would get quite warm fairly quickly.

I've talked for over an hour at a time (I feel like such a girl saying that :D) but I haven't noticed the heat thing. My Motorola is about 15 months old now. I do have a leather case wrapped around it that fits with my belt clip. Anyhow, it's not real significant.

sony ericson t616 - has interent - just download free ringtones from ringtonenation.com (i think thats it). i love this phone. and i got cingular service i get really good service from it. my friends have other things like verizon and stuff and their service is horrible

I think any of the major carriers should normally be pretty good in an urban, metropolitan area. Some have their networks built up more than others, or their strong areas, but they should all be pretty good. If you live in a more rural community then it is very possible that one will provide you with decent coverage and the others will give you poor coverage. The plans are very similar now too, as far as value, features, and what they'll give you each month.

thanks guys...I'm probably going to get a new service and phone in the next few weeks. School's starting back up and once the weather gets a lot warmer (cuz it's still not anywhere near girls in tight shirts weather) I'm going to need a phone with good service...gotta lot of ground to make up this summer in particular.
