There are several MOS members currently deployed in the military. Supra and Meyer0331 come to mind. I'm sure there are others as well. We need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers while they are out defending our right to post in forums like this. I know it's difficult being away from home and family especially during the holiday season.

I agree fully. I am sure there are others here(yours truly included) that is from a military family and have loved ones serving as well. You can disagree with the politics or the mission, but it really bothers me when someone disrespects those putting their lives on the line.

I hear you. I hope they make it back alive and well.

I think it's politically incorrect to disrespect our soilders but everyone has to understand they sign up for the possibily of being killed during war time. No one forced them.
Soilders will never get the props they ever deserve for doing what they do.

But I give them their props. No doubt.

Threak--

Great message. I agree. I don't like this war or the way it is being run. I think "war" as a foriegn policy is horrible for us (or any other country) in the long run. But the men and women fighting the war--and their families--are sacrificing a great deal and they should not be disrespected. I will do all I can here, and elsewhere, to keep that from happening.

What I'm concerned about is when the survivors return home. I remember what happened with the Vets returning from Vietnam. They were ignored and treated abominably. I don't want that to happen again with this war. We need to welcome our returning Vets with open arms and help them to transition once they're home. Many are maimed--too many to count. Many are psychologically destroyed. That's just a fact of war.

They're coming home to a shitty economy that's getting worse. Their jobs are not waiting for them--if they ever had a job before they left. I hope we focus on these men and women returning from hell. They deserve it.

G.W.B. should have HIS daughters over there, bastard!!

this is the cold truth of an overwhelmingly unpopular war.

even worse than the shunning of a welcoming back to their respective motherlands, is being holed up in a conflict that sees your fellow military brothers dieing left, right, and centre on a daily basis and you're in the knowledge that you're in the thick of this for the policies of men in suits, rather than for the will of the people... and moreover from that, you can't do a fucking thing about it.

keep pushing

I thought he was back as well--but with the added surge and how spread thin the troops are, it wouldn't surprise me if they sent him to Iraq already.

Yes, SUPRA's tour is done as of the last time we chatted (a month ago). When someone joins the MOS Members site or purchases one of the packages their email is necessary. I have seem many emails with the extension .gov. I guess free time at war is a great time to make the dick bigger. SUPRA is a perfect example of that.

I wish they were actually out there defending our freedoms. However, the main purpose of the Iraq "war" if you want to call it that, it's more an occupation is to....or was to try and establish a democratic "ally" for the sake of more oil. I believe in the whole concept of protecting our freedoms, and patriotic duty, hell I served my country for four years in the Marines myself, but nowadays "War" is a multi-trillion dollar industry....and when there are no wars, the contractors, and multitudes of companies who make things like guns, bullets, and all other war related supplies, and goods don't make money. The Iraq "war" has been over for many months now.
