I've been using the bathmate for over a year and was curious about switching it up to the Mityvac.
I'm satisfied with my results using the Hydromax but I'm looking for easier convenice (no water) and hopefully even better results. It's almost become addicting to keep wanting to gain so hopefully its not a downgrade.
With that said, I wanted to know:

- Same 5x5x3 (ssj) routine like the bathmate?

- I see many posts saying multiple 10min sessions. Safe to explore?

- Best times to use the Mityvac? I'm active 5 nights out of the week, how long does expansion from the pump sessions last?

-Can you do multiple sessions a day?

I’d say the mityvac is more convenient and the gauge is nice to have. I would say stay between 3hg to 6hg starting out. Never go beyond 10hg this could be dangerous for anyone. I don’t even go that high in pressure.

Shorter sets are advisable and creates less edema start with 2 to 5 minute sets. The 5x5x3 is a great routine start off with I even used this routine when I had the bathmate, but I prefer dry pumping.

Get your self some water based lubricant.

The mityvac is more of a professional pump in my opinion unlike the bathmate you don’t know how much pressure you are using. When I used to use the bathmate I could get a huge pump, but a lot of that is fluid retention under the skin. That’s just my opinion.

I was a devout Bathmate user until MOS came-out w/the MityVac...much more convenient (once securred, the quick-disconnect makes it easy to stay pumped while reading/posting/netflix-ing/etc. I vary the pressure every 10-15 minutes but often stay in the cylinder for an hour or more each day

Thanks for the replies, everyone....

Stay in the Cylinder for an hour?

Would 2 5x5x3 sessions (am/pm) be safe?

Two sessions per day would absolutely be 100% safe and using the recommended 5x5x3 is always best...I've modified that due to the fact that varying/regulating the pressure in the MityVac is so easy.

I start-out at about 5hg for several minutes and once I feel like I'm prepped and ready, I'll slowly increase to around 10hg (I've been pumping for many years and have built-up a bit of resistence) and that's where I'll hit the 21cm line on the cylinder...I'll remain at this presure for about 5-7 minutes and then do a short burst up to where I feel discomfort and stay at that crescendo for a minnute or so. I release down to 5hg (or less) for another 5 or ten minutes and then start the cycle again, generally two more times.

My thought-process is to always try and throw a curve at my body and not let it get used to a specific time/pressure routine...I've even stayed in the cylinder for over an hour with only enough pressure to keep it attached.

W/The MityVac, it's simple to keep your body 'guessing' :)
