MityVac leaking

I have a real mystery here that I can´t solve. So I hope some of you might have had the same problem and knows how to solve it.
Just got my MityVac after using bathmate for years but it is not holding the vacuum. I got 2 tubes and both have the same problem.
I have tightened the female connector attached to the tubes just as it says here on the forum. I started by testing the pump handle by removing the vac line and putting it against my hand and pump. No problems it holds the vacuum so I can´t see how the pump handle is the issue. Next I put on the vac lines testing both with and with out the water trap and instead of attaching it to the tube I just covered the end on the make connector that should go in to the tube with my thumb and pumped. Worked fine and held the vacuum so its not the vac lines leaking. Then I connect the vac line to the tube and pump and it is creating a vacuum but WAY TO SLOW I have to pump a lot just to get to 5 HG and as soon as I stop pumping the vacuum vanishes. So next I tried to pump up a 10 HG vacuum and remove the vac line from the tube and it seems like the vacuum is not vanishing so the female connector screwed in to the tube does not seem to be the problem. Or at least not if I quickly remove the vac line. I tried both my tubes and both have the exact same problem. Obviously I don´t want to pump with out the pump connected to have control on the pressure.

So the only time it does not work/leak seem to be when the male connector is inside the female screwed in to the tube. Considering the simple round shape on the male connector I can´t see anything "wrong" with it. The male connector have the black o ring so that is not missing. I have even tried with a different male connector but it sill does not work. The fact this happens with both tubes makes it extra weird. Since the pump handle can hold high vacuum when I test it I see no way how the pump handle would magically stop working/leaking when the tube is connected but hold vacuum other wise.

Any ideas what it can be and how to solve it?

Damn it. Took weeks to get them so I was hoping there would be something I had missed. The fact the exact same thing is happening on both tubes is so strange.

I agree and this is why I have no clue what went wrong. You have tested everything we would.
