Alright, after I lift, I take some Link Removed . This has 50 grams of whey protein isolate and 25 grams of carbs (all from non-sugar sources). Anyways, I was talking to my one friend who said that he heard that it's pointless to ingest more than 18 grams of protein after a workout, because the body can't take in any more than 18 grams. Basically, he says that I am pissing away the other 32 grams of protein and just wasting my money.
Is it true that the body can only take in a limited amount of protein per serving, or is my friend just giving me misinformation? Any insight into this is appreciated.
