What is the Matrix?

Do any of us really know? Ok what we know is that they are all under control and that everything is a game right? So Neo was choosen to be powerfull by the machines to continue the game and keep the cycle going. Ok so when Neo is unplugged from the Matrix in the Beggining of Revolutions, he is still actually in there as we see. Then we see Neo get unplugged after wards, how the hell did that happen, he was not pugged in.

Ok now we see Neo's powers go from what we though was the Matrix into the Machine World. And he has poweres there as well, different powers but still powers, he can destoy the machines with his mind, and see even though he is blind. How can he do that? The only way he could do that is if he is still in the Matrix, right? But if he was still in the Matrix, then all the machine world was was another form of control Right? And

And Smith and all that with the many "Smiths" that was all a game to, Smith himself said he had remembered doing it. And the Oracle, the Architect and Saraph came back at the end. So Neo DId not beat anything and no one won Right? So when Neo Died, were was his real body? Like the Real, Real one? It must stil be plugged in, or mabey there is not bodies? I am so lost guys.

Ha... the one thing I do know is The Matrix is full of biblical referencens... I would help more, but I haven't seen any of them in a long time.... since the last one came out. I also am positive you have a bigger schlong than Neo as well.

I must know, "What is the Matrix" is there one? I just dont get it, Matrix is my favorite movie of all time and I still dont understand

What it is, We are all living our lives plugged into a virtual computer generated world, where are real bodies are sitting in pods waiting to be used as a "Power Cell" for the machines. We are plugged into the matrix ( the thing in the back of there heads) which make sour minds think we are in a real life environment, which is really the matrix. When machines want there Energy to continue they "eat us", use our body for Energy because the human body generates pleanty of heat and electricity, in other words we are all a "Battery".
When we die in the matrix, we are dead in real life.
The agents, are programs in the Matrix Assigned to keep everyone who is plugged into the program in "order" and make sure we all behave in there and do not discover the truth.
I have never seen Revolutions, only 1 & 2, and tbh #2 (Reloaded) was only made as an excuse to show off with pure action and bullet time. (CGI)
#1 Was the film, the key and was sheer brilliance, where they should of left it.

But they are not plugged in, its all a system of control, How did Neo have his powers outside of being Plugged in?

Neo and the clan are not plugged in. Well the fact Neo has his powers outside of being plugged in, is total stupidity and does not make sense as the First Matrix movie would suggest. IMO i say forget the follow ups of the film, Matrix in itself was a masterpeice and the follow ups just ruined how good it was.
I have no understanding, or can not make any logical sense of how he can have power outside the matrix, unless they are implying that in REAL life certain people have powers maybe?
Who knows, I certainly dont.
What i do know is The Matrix was one hell of a film one that will be recognised in the future as 21st century work of art.

Well, What i think it may have meant was that Neo and the Zion people, were actually in a totally different programmed matrix of there own.

That explains everything! Neo has the powers in and out the matrix cause the machines grew him from a baby, and they made him powerfull!! That is why he could do it, the genteticlly altered him, and his implants were different than anyone elses. This is amamzing, I never knew this!! and Seraph used to be the "one" as well!! Wow, this rocks, now I know!! Thank you so much

From what I have heard it is worth it. Plus, the way I think about [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words]'s is this; the people making the movie spend millions of dollars to make this incredible piece of art, $20 is a very small price to pay.

There is some real good in depth stuff about the matrix in the book "taking the red pill" its amazing. It go's into the whole relation to the christanity. And stupid facts like. in the first film when neo is getting unplugged for the first time switch calls neo "copper top" Which is slang for a durecel battery as neo is acting as a battery for the machines. loads of stuff like that

Christ was crucified on a friday and rose from the grave the following sunday... (its no suprise then with all the christian references in the film that it was first releaced on easter weekend.
