ReJuveness is very expensive ($9.50 for 33 ft roll, 2 in. wide), but it is very popular for restoring. It's soft and meshy, and a little stretchy in the width direction. Get it at ReJuveness.com, or at [words=http://TLCTugger.com/MOS]TLCTugger[/words].com if you don't want to order a dozen rolls at a time. It's on my Canister Method page.
A cheaper alternative is Mefix. The main difference is that the ReJ has a split backing comprised of two 1-inch strips that can be removed one at a time. This REALLY helps in handling for some of the methods; start the tape with half the backing still in place. The Mefix has 2-piece backing but the dividing line is wavy, so it's not as big of a plus. It's about 60% of the cost if you shop around and order at least 5 rolls.
I have some Mefix right now if anyone wants to buy a roll or a sample.
