MoS sells the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/showthread.php?83577-Length-master-official-order-thread-now-shipping-06-16-2014!!!]LengthMaster[/words] which you can hang with (and do lots of other exercises). You could make a Captn's Wench (check www.peweights.com, they have a kit that comes with everything and instructions). Bib hangers are really popular as well.
Yuppers, hanging can be very rewarding.
What he said, cap'n wench is easy and inexpensive to make (around 25$ and you'll have the materials to make a few). You prob won't be able to hang more than 12.5 lbs with it, but if you're just starting hanging, that will be more than enough for a lil while.

Walmart dude! Just the regular weights that people use for weight lifting.
I got a 10lb plate, a couple 5lb plates, and a couple 2.5lb plates. This way you can adjust weight between sets. I start high, then lower the weight 2.5 lbs for each set.
