Well people i just got some bad news, my girlfreind just told me she may have contacted HIV from her brother.Her brother is bisexaul he got in a bar fight and got cut up really bad(he didn't know this until he went to the hospital and they later came to his door and told him)my girlfriend not thinking att?ended to his wounds . She is now waiting for the test results.

did your girlfriend have any open wounds too? if she didn't and she was just cleaning his she wouldn't contract the disease that way...if she had any open sores or cuts herself it can be a possibility that he can pass it along but then again it isn't definite...i wouldn't worry about it too much unless you know there was a way for his blood to get into her blood stream.

I hope all is OK in the end mate. My brother specialised in HIV treatment and AIDS here in the UK as a Nurse for 7 years. Just support her and be their for her no matter what.

Are you saying her brother is definitely HIV+ or just that there is a potential risk from getting into a fight with a stranger?
