Stretching then becoming erect

When stretching and u become erect are u suppose to stop the stretch as soon as u become hard or just continue the stretch for a few seconds and then wait until it subsides. Also how long should u hold a stretch 30-60 seconds seems normal.
 
It is arguable that stretching during an erection is a waste of time. If you're getting an erection, I'd recommend you either switch to jelqing or wait until the erection fully subsides.
