This thread is pretty straight forward and I would like many responses
No tricks or hidden agenda's, finger pointing or scoring points. I just want to get an idea across the world what the picture is like on racial issues, cultural issues or whatever else you dub it as.
Example if you live in France what is it like for the ethnic minorities which isn't a phrase I like to use, sounds awful but need to type it here for the point to be made. Americans chime in on the issue such as black people, Mexican, puerto rican etc 'cos us in Europe have no idea on that .. never covered.
The UK is pretty close with its races and different peoples. Just see the England football or rugby teams .. got a nice mixture but all English. We have the usual boundaries in the cities with gang cultures black, white, Asian etc that go around doing shit. Overall though from my experiences is pretty gelled but I feel in some Northern cities the Asian community is being targeted more then others, with themselves feeling alienated and that makes um feel less British.
This whole terrorism issue past 12 years or so has made it more difficult for such men & women with roots in Northern, Eastern Africa & Middle East to fit in as they become branded bad from what some tit done 1000's of miles away.
More success is coming along in the police and government with different races now being represented instead of just white. We are quite tolerant and are not racist, with anyone welcome to the UK with any religion or belief .. no beliefs also fine. I just think with what has gone down over 10 years and the sudden influx of mass migrant workers from the EU such as Poland, Slovakia, Czech Rep etc etc the Brits have started losing patience and lashing out at anyone who doesn't look 'right'.
Overall though we're doing good from what we were like 15-20 years ago. Black people are much more equal then they ever were and given the respect they should have along with our Asian brothers and sisters. To me we are all one anyway and I love nothing better then seeing a cosmopolitan city with mixed cultures, people, food, music ... its sensational .... London is such a place and I'm PROUD of that I really am .. makes me very happy to see everyone getting on no matter what religion they are, if even just for that hour ... Britain has a very important role to play in building bridges with many cultures ... after all the UK ruled a massive portion of the globe, colonialism they call it but that in the long run has helped us all understand one another.
