Question about "lig gains"........

Hi all,

I've heard the term "lig gains" used a lot but I would like to ask a question to help clarify things a little for me: when people make "lig gains" where exactly do these gains come from? I understand that the ligaments are stretched beyond their normal dimensions, but do the actual gains themselves come from (what I like to call) "basement penis"? (By "basement penis" I mean the hidden section of penis that you can feel when you press upwards into the perineum area during an erection). I was just a little curious about the mechanics of the whole process.
