Perfect Technique Kegals????

I have done kegals before and edgeing before but I stopped for a while, now I cant seem to hit the erection muscle bang on so I feel that slight burn and ache. I dont know how to describe it I feel like I am completely missiing the muscle and its just my butt that is doing work. I know that sounds gay but can anyone help me with a technique, would it be better if I drank loads of water and when I went for a piss I then do kegals as it might hit the muscle more. Or am I just wanting too fast results too soon and need to do kegals for a couple of weeks and then I will feel the burn cause the muscle has been gettin trained over time????? surely if it is a muscle you should be able to hit it and feel a burn or ache like you do in a gym working your muscles?? should I do them shorter than five seconds?? or sqeeze to my maximum and then hold for five seconds once I have reached full sqeeze. For some memory when I was doing them before I could seem to feel a feeling in my groin???

Any help would be much appreciated cause its frustrating knowing you were doing things right only to completely forget how you were doing them right
