Not feeling confident and then not getting work is a vicious cycle. Being "rejected" does not feel good. Try not to take it personal. Some employers are very unreasonable and irrational in deciding whom they employ.

You can do a couple of things:
Do a course to increase your chances of getting work. Any course. The fact that you are busy with something always sounds better to an interviewer than saying you are doing nothing.
