Maximum time for hanging?

If you're worried, keep it to 15 minutes. But Andre is right: 20 minutes is the absolute maximum. You might even go just 5 or 10 minutes if it's a new high weight. There are no records to be set.
 
So I guess the other post I made about walking around with a hanger all day is bad suggestion? Any other reasons for the 20 minute limit except for blood flow, head getting cold etc?

It's based on the maximum recommended duration for a tourniquet plus the duration of a stretch. Since stretching reduces the diameter of vessels and reduces other flow channels, the addition of a tourniquet should reduce the maximum to keep all things equal (in a manner of speaking).

Therefore, loosely applied 1 hour is the maximum tourniquet duration time as agreed by both knuckleheads and doctors but with the caveat "it depends on the situation". Reducing the flow area (via stretching) by approximately 1/3 reduces the time to 20 minutes.

Very much junk science, but then who wants to find out what the duration for irreversible cell death is given that it will vary somewhat by person?

Typically, cell death in the extremities is thought to be within 30 minutes with an absence of blood flow. Two-thirds of this number could be considered very safe. (Remember that nerves are more susceptible to cell death than other tissues.)
 
Cuz I was thinking about something I read somewhere, I think it was DLD that wrote it; about hanging after a good stretching, and that it would increase how much you would gain. Healing in a stretched position, if you will.
 
So doing 7.5 for an hour straight isn't a good idea? I read on this forum from someone the penis will fall off or grow from strain my ligs feel stretched as shit, BUt I'm just hanging straight down over a computer chair for a hour. THen Next month I'll be doing 2 1 hour sets a day then the next month 10 lbs @ 1 hour set daily then next month 10 @ 2 hour sets, 2.5 raising every month 2 months in new routine

I started off at 2.5 and raised it to 7.5 but i been lazy with it

Can someone suggest a good hanging method or routine i don'thave pulleys yet I am using king snakes hanger
