Recently I stumbled across the fact that most commercial lubes use methyl cellulose as the primary ingredient for their product. As such, I decided to give it a go and create some lube by myself. Not only was it way cheaper to make, but it allows you to make only as much as you need each time.

You can buy methyl cellulose at an arts store. It is also found in some brands of fiber, but I dont recommend that because there are flavors and other ingredients present.

Basically, mix about 3 tablespoons to a cup of water. It all depends how thick you want it, but its better to go thicker than thinner, Il tell you why later. I suggest you mix it with distilled water, since it will be free from impurities and bacteria, but its not necessary. I normally drink distilled water so i always have a supply on hand. Any kind of clean water will do though. The thing about methyl cellulose is that it take a shitload of time to dissolve, and dissolves best in cold temperatures (above freezing). So mix it up leave it in the fridge and then mix again every couple of hours until it turns completely clear. Or you can leave it overnight and it will probably be clear the next morning. Once it has dissolved, it takes a lot less time to add some more water to make it less thick, so add water little by little until you get the consistency you want. I would also add a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol just to keep it clean. It supposedly stays good for more than a month even without it, but I like to stay on the safe side.

So there you go, a cheap, convenient solution for you jelq lube needs. Its lubricates better than Vaseline and is 100 times easier to clean up because its water based. Special effects companies use to for fake blood and slime, and its the main ingredient in the commercial lubes. Plus, for the same money as that small bottle of lube at the store, you can make 20 times more.
