I was feeling the same way. I learned that it is important to take a minimal amount of fats, salt, carbs and sugar to feel healthy. A completely protein diet created too much apathy for me, so now, even though my diet is still mostly protein I do allow for healthy fats, sugar, salt and carbs. I do not over do it though. In the morning I will allow myself to have a breakfast sandwich of eggs, ham or sausage with cheese on a whole grain english muffin. That is the extent of my carb and fat intake for the most part. The remainder of the day I stick with mostly proteins. I have also included 100% grape juice into my nightly meal, this helps give me some fructose that my body is craving and it also fills me up. I drink 50/50 water and juice. 100% grape juice is very potent and it saves on money and calories to mix it with water. I still stick to one cheat day a weak. Overall my energy levels have been better and my body looks good too. The last time I weighed myself (Wednesday last week) I weighed 219 so I do lose 1 pound. Most likely I will incorporate exercise earlier than I thought since my energy levels are higher, maybe this Monday, all depends on how I feel.
 
Well i found this protein bar..it taste like a Snicker bar....not really...but it's close...so when i feel the need to eating something unhealthy i just grab a protein bar...

It's a nice trick for the first month of the diet..because after a month or so without eating junk food your body will get used to it and the craving will stop.Find something that will replace the bad food,because if you try to change the whole diet you will fail 99 % of the time because your body is used to eat a lot of sugar and junk food.

One full day of bad food is gonna slow down your progress...maybe try to switch to one cheat meal a week unless your cheat day doesn't consist of eating bad food all day long.
 
I will try once again with the diet and see where it leads. I won't give up on my quest for abs.

What I am doing Huge is getting used to the diet first before I undertake the exercise. One thing at a time works best in my mind. I have been on this new diet for about 10 days, I will continue until I hit 30 days and see where I am. By that time it should be a habit. Exercise will be next on the list.

That sounds like a good plan.

@Childish
- Your idea of not to eat late etc. is not really necessary. All you really need to do is make sure you burn all the calories that can potentially become fat, it's not whether you eat too much or too late, it's that you have to work it off in order to maintain weight or lose weight.

You shouldn't worry about it, most people prefer to read, learn and walk away with the knowledge gained.

You're right. I'm glad I'm able to give this information even if it isn't new, as long as people get the ideas cemented into their heads then they have a good long ways to gain :)

I repeat knowledge over and over without ever becoming annoyed. I know how it is to be a newbie and not be able to find the answers to your questions, this is why I will answer a question over and over.

It really is and even when I have to repeat it 100 times it still does not bother me. I see other forums attacking men for asking a question that has already been answered, that is such bullshit. It is sometimes really hard to find information on the forum, it can be buried in history and it is for these times that I will repeat.

Yeah but the thing is sometimes people are unaware some information is already expressed and some are too lazy or can't figure out how to search forums properly like you've stated in a way. So I've decided to make a post with the basic essentials to gaining so that people can understand the concept behind actual growth and experiment themselves with the ideas that have been created over time concerning PE. I in this specific case emphasized intensity because many people wonder why they won't gain and it is because of their limited intensity. Several people are unaware of how to produce the right amount of intensity and in what ways, so I made this thread to help those in need and I'm glad it's gotten the attention because it's really a part of PE that needs to be looked at.

You know what it is, I have just become too lazy to find old threads when I can answer the question quicker. i do agree with some better organization which will happen when I meet up with LIGHTNING this year.
 
It will be a great achievement to organize some post to enable newbies find a quick answers to their questions.
