You've probably not heard of the Synthpop group known as Hurts who come from the same city as me Manchester. They've had success around Germany, Sweden, Austria and Switszerland.

First album is currently in the top 10 here in the UK rofl

Where do I fit in? well nowhere really, apart from I helped write and compse the trak titled 'Illuminated' which has been incl on a Sky HD commercial. It was me at my most creative ... I was on a mixed spell mood-wise, as people with Aspergers often get like but at those times my creativity can be great ... I was drinking heavily but not to get drunk .. it was for creative juices

I had wormwood mixed in my vodka and was up late for nights dreaming and seeing how my track would be. I know Theo and Adam from Hurts well and decided to speak with them about it.

We got together and played around with lots of equipment and voila ILLUMINATED was born!! DLD will know himself its from me ... check out the lyrics

^ The power all around us from the Universe shines on us but it can be so powerful its blinding.

Enjoy and remember that song when you hear it was by your old friend here RED. They added bits and did the music but I composed it and advised on how it would be structured and played. I'm so proud ... the track is so THERAPenis EnlargementUTIC .. more powerful than a drug ... it can released every emotion, from crying, happiness, sadness, depression and sheer bliss ... let it take you wherever.

Yeah we worked something out, but TBH although it may not sound believable, is I did it more for a release and to get my creative side out than for the money. Who knows, if I keep churning stuff like this out what could happen. For now this is my only piece to date ... no one really even knows about this story either. I prefer ATM to stay in the background, as my main focus is in another field.

The track though I would like to be longer. Originally I had it down for just over 5 minutes, but it was decided as it wasn't a flagship track and to save space for other tracks to shorten it. You still get the whole concept of mine, nothing lost.

Hmmmm my next move would be to mix this with more dance to it. Give it a hard bass in parts, not this shitty bitty dance of today .. but the GREATS like the Prodigy inspired me in that area. Chicane is the other inspiration as well. I listen to alsorts really as you know but this is a more atmospheric emotional piece. The re-mix would be more harder for the club scene ... think Breath and Firestarter, maybe even Spitfire from the Prodigy. Also at parts in the track you will hear a very fade, nearly absent elephant-like noise, as it yells out ... I would like to have this mixed in more apparent but not so obvious. Its distorted but makes it more powerful at relevant pieces on the track.

Maybe we could mix this together? feel free Mike to play about with it yourself and if you got ideas let me know.

I think the Live version sounds even better than the studio recording. It must be so much inspiration to hear the words u wrote performed and sung on a commercial for television. I wont be surprised if you unexpectedly became a very powerful leader of the world one day Red man. With out even trying.
