How to become a moderator?

How does one become a moderator? I want to be one so I can help in every possible way I can!

A lot of work. I'm sure that the mods, Jane their hands full, going thru everything, and doing the other things, that they have to do.

Oh, for sure! I would enjoy it too.....and am willing to do it, if I was needed to. I was already thinking about offering. I just figure, they'd be happy for some help.

Far as I know, the only moderator who does anything is Threak. The rest are mostly gone or not actively moderating. Traditionally, a moderator does things like move posts/ threads to the correct places, closes threads when appropriate, stickies threads, deletes spam, calms people down, etc.

Exactly....and that's why I would think they could use a little help. With all the members, and all the posts, day and night.....seems like that would be a hell of a lot....at least at times. Like I said....I'm game!

A moderators job is not that big of a deal and as Still mentioned, there are only a few moderators. Many of the moderators are no longer here but still in good standing they hold their position. If someone brings something special to the table, a quality that will help enhance the Brotherhood I start to watch them. If they remain consistent and their efforts are for the betterment of the Brotherhood and the altruistic help of others I then ask others Mods their opinion. From there we mod. A moderators job is moving posts, banning spammers, keeping the peace, buying me sneakers when I need them, and various other duties Basically, if you become an obvious accept to the Brotherhood with time under your belt you will become a mod.

Helping other people with their problems consistently.

Making sure that forum rules were followed.

Having relevant knowledge and experience.

Donating to the site where I eventually became an Admin.

Writing reviews and testing devices.

There are so few worthy devices on the market, that is the problem.

Thats a great gift,I have learned a lot and theres so much to learn yet..Besides gains are part of our testimony thats why is important to get bigger to show other men how real PE is.

Stilly and Templ used to go at it a few years ago...Templ would be that annoying Chihuahua always trying to stir crap up cuz he didn't 'approve' of hanging as a PE method (or some such) and Still had to defend himself a time or two. I doubt that had anything to do with his moderator status, tho
