Homemade Bib hanger.

Ive been hanging now for about 5months[using a hanger that I made].I finally decided to make the homemade bibhanger that SWM recommends.First of all its real bulky[by the way this is from his post in the picture proof section],I could hardly get it to tighten with the hose clamp. So I used just the one piece of nylon braided hose instead of both pieces. Its really uncomfortable and painful.Has anyone else made this hanger, and if they had the same problem how did they fix it.I hope this shit aint too confusing.Thanks.

Ive tried it, but had no luck with it. Youre right it hurts. For homemade hangers I like the captains wench alot better. Give that one a try.

JAKB,the capt wench, huh,ok.How much weight are you using on that.Ive been using 20lb,do you think it will support that.

I think it tops out right about 20lbs. The capt is cheap and easy to make also.

Im was up to 12lbs on it with no probs whatsoever, but have switched to the production bib. If you can afford it, I suggest it. It does take more getting used to though.

When you start with a new type of hanger you definitely have to lighten the load until you learn the intricacies of the new hanger.

Let me know how it goes.

I made a homemade bib hanger and love it. I made it just as the pics show. It prolly has to do with what you are wrapping your unit with. I use a nut driver to tighten the clamp, as I go up in weight, I will use two clamps. Currently hanging @ 15lbs.
