Hanging in hot water

has any one tried hanging while in a hot bathtub or jacuzzi?

Sounds veeeery unpractical. First of all, weight is lighter in water so you need even more weights. Second, wouldn't weights and/or equipment rust? Third, it's a lot of hazzle to do, and fourth, I think the benefits are VEEERY limited.

The water displacement would carry most of the weight making it pretty ineffective.

So maybe that would be a more practical application. If you had the money for private sauna. Or just lock your bathroom door take a crazy hot shower and then apply the weight.

Heat isn't required to make gains, there isn't even a proof that it is necessary, it's just a way to loosen up the tissues (which is rather important for girth work, not so for length)... But then again, if you like to avoid the coldness that comes with hanging get a heating pad or heating lamp, this will be the cheapest solution.

Yeah, I guess a heat lamp would be an inexpensive way to check validity. I know that I used a heating pad as a warm down in my earlier days. After training I would wrap myself in the heating pad and let it go for hours. Not sure if it was effective but I did have the best flaccid hang I ever had at that time.

The only reason I can see for hanging in water is to hang from the ceiling while weighing less. Water makes weight less, yeah.

I suppose since water slows movement one might bounce slowly in water like moving slowly in outer space while weightless. Seems like a useless concept though; more of a game than work.
