Anyway, there is a girl in one of my University classes. I want to get to know her more then maybe ask her out but...well its hard. It always sounds easy but fuck its so damn hard!

I know that courage is the key. And to be yourself and all that crap, but I just don't know what to do.

I might ask her to join me for coffee then get to know her and eventually ask her out. Thats the plan anyway.

I know many of you guys are good at this sort of stuff. So any words of encouragement or advice or anything really, would be greatly appreciated.

Day-to-day situations can often help us a lot.

I first started hanging out with my current girlfriend simply because, one day, I asked her if she could give me a ride home, since we lived near each other. That one-off situation then became a habit and, as we spent more and more time together, we talked a lot and eventually foudn out we had a lot in common. One thing let to another and now we've been together for 3 and a half years.

Now, I have to say that, when I first asked her for that ride, we were just class mates and there were no second intentions to my asking her for a ride.
I know that when you're interested in a girl it gets much harder to ask for this kind of favours.

But just take it slowly, and take it naturally. Ask for her class notes, or something.
Relationships are supposed to happen naturally. The more natural they are from the beggining, the more likely they are to last.
A partner, in my opinion, should be no more than a friend, a great friend with whom we agreed that we would like to share some more intimacy with. Therefore, start out with a friendship first. How do friends get to be friends? From normal daily activities.

I'm no doctor Ruth, but this is what my experience tells me.
So don't take it too seriously and just let things take their course. If it happens, great. If it doesn't happen, then you won't be any worse than you are today.

And, especially, don't try to impress her by being someone you're not.

Just be yourself, as you said, and whatever comes, comes.
