can of worms .....
My second team is england (was born there, left when two yo), but i must admit the most fun ive had watching a game was when the socceroos beat the pants off of u guys.
I hope we meet in the world cup finals because Id really fancy us.. theres something about the english imo that makes them afraid of aussie sportsmen.
Dont mention the ashes btw, we will murder u over here nex year, it shows that england have improved but when england play out of their skin in an ashes series and the aussies play absolute shite compared to their usual standard, ie gillespie being dropped, mcgrath worrying about wife with cancer, hayden and langer not performing etc etc and they only just edge it due to crap weather on the final day proves my point.
You were also very fortunate with coin tosses with regard to weather and swinging conditions.
Have you guys won a game since we lost the ashes to u btw?
Add into the mix the fact we will be using our cricket balls on our pitches with a young lad called shaun tait entering the mix, it will be 4-0 with one draw.
You read it here pples.
rant over ;p

back to football, i really hope england and aus meet, it would be a great game that id enjoy thoroughly.
For englands sake, they need to get rid of beckham as captain. The man is a mental midget. Sure he can cross a ball like no one else but that doesnt make a great captain.
I think terry, gerrard, lampard would make far better captains, not to mention the sentiment that i hold regarding national captaincy shouldnt be awarded to a player that doesnt even captain his club.
England have a real shot at this worldcup, they just need to get a decent draw and hope to beat brazil when they meet them and not have bloody david seaman in goals, like last world cup.
Also, why scott parker hasnt been given a run yet is beyond me, he is shear class and is the defensive midfielder england needs.
BTW im a nufc supporter if u hadnt worked it out already.
REDZULU2003 said:rofl Beckham to me is a good captain for England, he isnt like the Aggresive captain but you dont need to do that. He NEVER gives in and is VERY DETERMINED and just is everywhere on the pitch so to me he inspires many players and this has been said. I would agree with your other choices such as Gerrard and Terry ... but they are more Aggression driven but thats not a negative thing, just that Beckham operates his captancy different ... thats how I see it.
David Seaman ... he has retired mate and he was a damn fine keeper in his day but made a silly mistake against Brazil in the last world cup which seems many idiots have made stick with him. Robinson our current keeper is class.
I hope we meet Brazil soon after the groups and whip their arse and than hopefulyl meet you aussies and whip your arse![]()
