Hello guys I wanted to make a thread following my work outs. One of my favorite fitness tools is the kettle bell . I starting using them in highschool when I wrestled and use them now to supplement my jiujitsu training.

8ve decided to simplify my traininhg for the next 100 days I will.be doing simple and sinister by pavel tsatsouline. Along with 100 push ups daily . It's a simple program but will whoop.your ass . Anyone who is interested I would highly suggest buying the book from his site strong first .

The program is basically
10x10 kettlebell swings
Swing hands on each swing set
10x1 Turkish get ups

I'm really excited about what this will bring . I know daily training is alot but our bodies are made to adapt .

If anyone has questions I would love to help
 
I know 1 of the 1st sets of question i will be asked is what bells to get . They guys over at the kettlebell other discussion site page already have a great list with programs and bells

i personally use the steel standard from kettlebell kings . I feel they are the best mix of price and performance. My currently line up is 20lbs 40lbs and 60lbs

It is but as long as you sleep and get the right food in you your body will adapt
 
So here we go day 1 went pretty well . I had a jiujitsu early this morning so i was a little sore but its all good

Warm up
5x3 goblet squat

2&3 set 40lbs

1x10 Thurkish get ups
1st 3 sets done at 20lbs

100push ups done these how every i spread through the day

Today i went on a mountain bike ride with some friends so i decided to take the kettle bell with me and do the lifting up on the mountain same wights as yesterday starting to feel sore a bit but we gonna thug it out

So I slipped up and wasn't able to train yesterday so I'm starting the 100 days over staring tomorrow . I wanted to push myself and do 100 days straight so we starting it over

:) Well I went to the doctors for a physical last week and all the weight I lost I have gained back! 12 months worth of work and I gained it all back in 8 weeks! I back in the sale again! Back to a protein predominate diet, lots of walking and weight training. You are inspiring me, so thank you!

3 days for me, I have cut my calories pretty heavily. Still not fitting in my Carhartt's but they should loosen up in the next week :) Have to start to exercise and I am lazy as fuck! So I gotta put out some effort. I feel good knowing that I can do this since I have done so many times.

Pavel is the man!! I've been implementing his methods for years. Enter the kettle bell and the naked warrior where two of the first books I read of his. I also have a rare collection of VHS tapes of of him taking a seminar with the FBI which I purchased off eBay many years ago.

Have to check those books out. Could you transfer the VHS to digital?
 
My wife tried to pick up one of the kettle bells at Academy during a shopping trip over the holidays and could not move it. She asked me what the hell do people do with this thing. I had to show her that they come in different weights and what you could do with them. I can see where used properly, they could put a whooping on you

i love barbells but its kinda hard fitting a full barbell routine in when im also doign jiujitsu 4 times a week thats why i love kettlebells i can put it in my truck and knock out my workout during my lunch break no issue
 
Just a little update the reason i started to slake i tweaked my back in jiu jitsu class so i been taking some time off just to heal starting to feel better now

Are you training in bjj or traditional jiu jitsu or sports jiu jitsu?

I guess it would be considered BJJ sport since I compete I train gi and no gi

Sweet! Bjj is an excellent sport. No better feeling than submitting someone, well apart from knocking someone clean out 👊 that's fun too.

Nothing I like more than that crack when I pull out that right hook, I hit, they fall. Italians have Boxing worked into our DNA :)

Yes I love it I love grappling I wrestled in high school but only did it 3 years . I played football my whole life so when that was done I didn't miss it but I missed wrestling so much so BJJ was the nearest thing .
 
I have been sick for a week with a fucked up cold. I think I lost 10 pounds. Not so healthy but my pants were loose today! Silver lining.

Maybe a couple more days of rest but I could not help myself from coming to the forums to post, that is my joy and I have been gone for so long. Happy to be posting but hoping to continue to feel better.
 
whenever I feel a cold/sickness start to come-on, I go to my favorite Thai place and get their WonTon soup with 5 stars...cooks the 'bug' right outta me

I really can't eat yet, little bit at a time but still sick to my stomach. This has been the longest illness I ever had going on 3 weeks. Today I feel worse than yesterday.

brutal, dude! so sorry to hear...give your body whatever it needs (rest/fluids/nutrition/etc.) to have a fighting chance

Not sure, feeling bad again today. I think I am going to check in the hospital tomorrow when I can get a ride. I have lost so much weight and I am not getting better. Can't eat, barely can drink, I can't smoke cannabis for relief as I can't hold the smoke. Please Brothers, pray for my recovery!

High fever? When you drink something, does it stay down? You must stay hydrated DLD. And find a way to hold that smoke... if only for a second. Use a bong with warm water. Sometimes a hit can help you tolerate the misery and pull you out of it. You take care of yourself. Don't wait around. If you are thinking you need to go to the hospital then find a way to get there. Go with your gut feeling.

Thank Brothers! I was able to smoke a bit yesterday and keep it down. I was able to eat a meal and that made me feel stronger. I went to the doctor and they checked me out. Aside from loosing all the weight they said things should improve. I still am extremely sick and if int continues they will want to do further testing. So for two days I have been able to keep the cannabis in and got my appetite back and it relieved so many pos my symptoms. Praise the Sweet Jesus Christ for the Healing Herb, it will fix everything!
