Do younger guys gain faster than older guys or is it roughly the same?

I'm an older guy and I've gained good with normal PE practices. I don't think it matters how old you are as long as you have the desire and will to gain.

I dont know how true it is, but I have read that with age- ligaments tend to get easier to stretch.....

But on the other hand- younger people produce more "gaining" hormones such as HGH and testosterone....

I would say older men, early 30's and older do better because they can dedicate themselves to the process better than younger men. In a physical sense there is no difference in gaining speed, if you train hard with total dedication you will do well. I do think that puberty and training in PE, if you are still going through it, would speed the rate of gains when it is quantified with natural growth.
