I know you asked @squirt_inducer_man but I think you need to have the wrap much nearer to your penis head, at least that’s what I do.

No wonder you’re getting pain from stretching the skin too much when you have the wrap that close to the base of your penis. It should look more like this:

Ok, but then you still need to wrap all the way up to your penis head, not over the penis head but right behind it. The wrap should cover your whole shaft while keeping it as long and stretched out as possible. Here’s another example of it:
