Just more proof in my opinion that we're entering a new age of enlightenment. People are developing mental capacity earlier, more quickly. We as a race have made a quantum leap in just the last 100 years...horse and buggy to cars that are 100% electric (Nissan Leaf for ex.), nano technology, robots performing prostate surgery...etc....etc..:

The boy wonder, who taught himself calculus, algebra, geometry and trigonometry in a week, is now tutoring fellow college classmates after hours.

Last night The Daily Show with Jon S. had a guest who are building robot suits that would be able to move for people who a paraplegics by their thoughts. They get into the suit and it is completely reliable on what the person is thinking and will move with whatever is in their mind. It would be ready in about 4 years and is being built in Asia.

That is very cool! I have a similar IQ (a bit less) and for me it has caused more bad than good, I was raised to believe I was stupid. I have a cousin who has a similar IQ to mine and she was nurtured and encouraged, she is extremely successful. High IQ, in itself, does little for a child but confuse them, the child needs to be guided, encouraged and most of all, feel secure in their abilities. In the end my IQ eventually served me as [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]Matters of Size[/words] is the most amazing thing I have accomplished (aside from my Son) and without my high IQ I do not think it would have been as successful as it is.

That is something to be very proud of! When your parents bring you up a certain way its hard to break the pattern I've heard, but some people are able to and have that gift.

It is true, a high IQ will get you nowhere if it is not used correctly. With many people, myself included, that have a ridiculously high IQ end up with serious social issues. It took me a long time to understand this. Even today my brain gets in the way of my progress.
