Hanger Stands

Oh, I have a very good idea to make my hanger pulley system portable. ... I just may have to do this one in secret, because it will be EPIC, hehehe. Maybe when the prototype is fully functional I might post some pictures....

Hey man! Id love a way to start hanging from my bed and that garment rack seems awesome to use at the end of the bed to hang. But wouldn't the rack tip over onto the bed? Or that's not an issue? Or just place heavy weights on the racks legs so it doesn't tip? Thanks man for all u do here!!

Anyone know of a cheaper stand than the one LG offers for $135?

Checkout the thread of @TuffDong and his PE room :)

I've done the same, loved his idea and the total cost is very cheap if you're already having some weight plates.
If you don't have any weight plates you could also easily use some water bottles in a basket. If water is too light, fill the bottles with sand :)

Sure, you definitely need to place some weights on the bottom of the garment rack in order that it doesn't fall over! Easily to solve with some weight plates or water bottles placed in a basket. The weight you need to place on the bottom of the garment rack always depends on the weight you're hanging with.

That was my first thought, as I have that same rack pictured. They are flimsy, with crappy casters to boot. You would need to throw sand bags or cinders to keep the stand weighted.

You'd be better off grabbing some studs for $5-6 and constructing your own stand. Then screw anchor points at various locations. Pulley and carabiner attached to the anchor. Get nylon rope...

Not sure if you are a handy sort, and have a box of odds and ends. At my disposal, if I were to construct such a thing, i would have hinges and barrel bolts so I could easily break it down when not in use, and lock it nice and sturdy when in use...

My portable pulley system will go from doorway (straight up, angled) to table/desktop (straight out) in a flash...... and it will be oh so sturdy and durable, while being light and easy to move about.... hehehe

im definitely not! Im sorta thinking though I have a radiator that is behind the rack, I can somehow secure the rack to the radiator so it doesnt fall forward. Should work. Im not messing with over 13lbs so shouldnt be a lot needed to secure it

Is it for hanging upwards or what's the purpose of the pulley stand?
My couch is low. I got a stand so I can hang comfortably on my couch. It keeps the weight off the floor. It also includes a nice cable to attach to your current setup.

Yes it does hang up. It's adjustable so can be raised up higher still.
