300

Hey everyone,

If you haven't already, watch 300. It's great. Great style, great action, great dialogue.

I've seen it 3 times already, and I'm pretty sure each time my balls grew a bit bigger.

3 times??? goddamn lol. yeah i agree i saw it and was completely blown away. i got chills at the visuals and the whole story. first battle scene fucking kicked ass!! you find yourself going "ohhhh FUCK" a few times durring it. and other scenes as well. lots of death, nice tits in there..this is a movie where you feel like you should just sit around a huge fire with your friends, eat raw meat and grunt at the screen lol. if you haven't seen it DO IT. ok that was my rant for the day

I wanna watch Spiderman 3 so bad too! The whole theater, which was mostly college aged guys, cheered when Venom popped out at the end of the S3 trailer. It was epic!

Oh god. this movie is great. Everyone I've talked to who has seen it came out of the theater wanting to kill. I had an energy drink before I went into the theater and came out even more pumped than what other people had described to me.

I didn't think it was that great, but I wasn't expecting too much. The filming techniques were cool and some of the action was exhilerating, but that grew a little tiresome after a while. I love straight-up action in movies, but the total lack of subtley in this one was a little overwhelming. I didn't really like the strange fantasy/sci-fi elements they included either. Plus, it seems like the movie would have been 45 minutes long without all the slo-mo. I don't know, I think I'm just bitter that it wasn't a straight ahead historically accurate portrayal of a very cool battle, all the weirdness just ruined it for me. And the Iranians are really not happy about the way Persians were depected in the film, but lots of people saw that one coming.

As for the 300 genre of movies, imo "Troy" and "Gladiator" were much better. With that said, 300 had great cinematography.

I thought it was a sweet ass action movie and that was about it. The cinematography and the sepia look was really sweet.

One thing I didn't like was the Christ reference with Leonidas' death. Did anyone else notice the carefully placed arrows in his wrists with his men surrounding him like some sort of organic halo? There was definitely some Christian undertones in that scene. Kinda lame but whatever.

Great action flick none the less.
