Has anyone ever worked out in sleeves and which one is best for that if so? Can they be washed without losing their elasticity and durability? Can powder be used to assist with sweat if you do physical activity and if so, what kind of powder is recommended?
Yes. We use sleeves to workout with, depending on what it is. Example, I wear my all day extender, using
SiliSleev2. At times,
SiliSleev5. I also use my
sleeve on top of my wraps for the
Length Master to protect my skin of chaffing because I do strange angles. I also have attachments for my
Length Master that can cause a bit of abrassion. It also helps to prevent turtling during in between lengthening sessions.
Some like to use the sleeves for the pumping to prevent ademas. That's not needed if you use
SSJ as part of the pumping routine. I also have generic sleeves I purchased a while back in dozens. Why so many? Hygienic reasons and some just have bad durability. MOS Shop carries good thick version and very good warranty.
For powder, what are you looking for? Stopping sweat? Preventing sliding?
Stay away from talcum powder. Baby powder containing corn starch can cause irritation for adults. We sweat a lot. Corn starch promotes unhealthy buildup of bacteria. Use
magnesium carbonate instead.
For traction purposes such as all day stretcher, sleeves, and wrap that use anti-slip powder, use MOS Shop powder. I may be wrong on the consistency and haven't receive the formulation, but by my own formulation standard, it's 90%
magnesium carbonate and 10% rosin. The more sweat you generate, the more it sticks. 15% rosin or so will stick so bad that it makes duct tapes feel like normal Scotch tape. It's practically glue.
