Where is my muscle ?

Hi guys,

I've been working out in the gym since Christmas. I now weigh 197 pounds and am 5 10. However, my Biceps are only 14.5 inches. I have some pecs but they are very small. I am not hugely overwieght, prob could do with losing a few pounds. So how the heck can I weight that much !?!!>!

You are to heavy at 197 for someone 5 10, unless you were all muscle, which you said you were not. your lower body must be the culprit as someone already pointed out.
 
go to peerfitness and they will measure ur body fat all over the place.. ur arms, legs, waist,chest everything and they will tell u wut u need to do
 
197? you are either a fat ass or tons of muscles so idk what you are complaining about. at 14.5 inches is pretty good. i started when i had 11 inch arms. dont expect to get big fast. it takes years to get big. dont expect to gain more than an inch in 3 months on your arms.

What you WEIGH is nowhere near as important as
how it's COMPOSED.
Fat is the least dense component of human composition.
Bone, muscle, connective tissue, skin, organs all "weigh" more than fat per cubic volume.

Like [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]PA[/words] said; what are your various measurements?
You gotta be able to compare your volume with your weight to get a good estimation of your bodyfat.
Unless you're trying to fit into a specific category don't pay as much attention to that number we call "weight", pay more attention to what your body is athletically capable of and how your measurements add up.

also depends a lot on genetics

i have to disagree, genetics doesn't matter unless you are handicap or have a birth defect.

i dont know exactly what he was askin. genetics affecting his ability to put on muscle? , lose weight?. also depends on if he a mesomorph, endo, ecto.
