What foods increase testosterone?

Ergopharm 6-OXO with a good work out regime (most importantly legs) should in theory be able to raise testosterone a decent amount.

Yea actually I believe working out lowers your test levels from everything I've heard. I think there is a big spike while you are working out then a sharp drop off into oblivion

OK, quit spamming.

BTW, your second post states you are 17, while your third, made the same day, says you are 18. Which is it?

AC,

Seems to me you believe NOTHING can raise testosterone. If you can think of something that does, that would be helpfull.

I can´t help either, I don´t know much about biochemistry, sorry.

AC,

I know you are main ROP oppositor. I have read every single thread about the ROP (and Ballzinger at Thunders) and I decided to try for myself. If you look around, you will see that I am actually selling a few ROP with my leftover materials. I have 2 to go and I´ll be done.

Before this becomes another ROP thread, I will just say that the ROP produces a small current that runs through the package. That is the only FACT. Nothing else can be proved. Whether this electricity does something down there or not, is a mistery until some serious cientific study is made. But everyone is free to try it. I myself think it stimulates something down there, becouse I can feel it.

Now, returning to the thread, I also don´t think the ROP will raise testosterone levels (in case you are wondering). But I do think there might be some food or supplement that does, and can think of a few reasons for people with low levels to raise them.

Nope. Check your PMs.

...deathlifts...

Muahahaha!
I'm sorry... I have no idea why that made me laugh so hard, but you just made my day. Thanks for that!
I don't do "deathlifts" either, since I have never gotten into it, and my back is developing very nicely with bent over barbell rows and standard one arm db rows.

In regards to the topic at hand, I can't really add much that AC hasn't already brought to the table, but I will say that fluctuations in a man's testosterone output occur most dramatically via the change of the seasons. Test levels tend to peak around summer, and drop for the darkest months of the winter. The degree of the fluctuation depends on how close to the equator one lives at, which goes without saying. It is still surprising that even those who live at the equator have slight changes in hormonal activity as the seasons change.
Any substance influenced change in test levels is very subtle at best (not counting steriods), PROVIDED that the person in question leads a healthy lifestyle (there are a multitude of ways in which one can sabotage his maximum testosterone output, though, and most people who aren't conscious about their health are guilty of several of these mistakes). The human body had a nasty negative feedback system which prevents overly dramatic changes in hormonal activity. This is most noticeable in the way our bodies regulate our sex hormone production: if your test levels increase, you will get more estrogen via aromatization, so any supplement or natural remedy that claims to increase your test levels is a double edged sword IF it truly delivers what it promises. Of course this all depends on the individual: some lucky sons of bitches have naturally high testosterone and very low estrogen, and they don't get as much aromatization as the average joe. Also, those who are lean would at least hypothetically reap more benefits from such supplementation than their fatter counterparts, since they would also experience less aromatization.
Ah well, I'm not getting anywhere by rambling on, so I'll just sum up what I think: certain over the counter supplements like tribulus would be effective, at least in huge doses, if one took an estrogen blocker to go along with it, which I wouldn't recommend (your cholesterol levels will get SERIOUSLY fucked if you don't have any estrogen, even if you are a man). Otherwise these supplements are pretty much a waste of money for the most part.

Getting enough zinc, omega 6's etc all help maintain your natural max output. Zinc is particularily important if you are an athlete of a weight lifter, since you will deplete more than the average couch potato.

Wait I thought an estrogen blocker would stop testosterone from being converted to estrogen it wouldn't be able to drop your estrogen levels to 0 would it?

Why would you want your estrogen levels at 0? You need some estrogen, the problem is having too much.

I agree with just about everything you said except this... most natural supp like tribulus gives only marginal increases in test level, at best. they do work but not very effectively. Also, taking a estrogen blocker (like clomid and nolva) does not drop your estrogen levels, and aromatase inhibitor (dex and letro) does. Estrogen blockers are Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (SERM) which means that they bind to certain estrogen receptors, preventing estrogen to bind to it. They do not in any way reduce the amount of estrogen in the body.

Another caveat about increased test levels is that most of one's testosterone is rendered useless in the body by a SHBG. This is a gobulin that binds strongly to test. So only a very small percentage is actually usable, this is called Free Testosterone. There are now new supps that are supposed to block SHBG or strongly bind to it, if this is truely the case you can actually get the benefits of increased test without actually increasing your Total Test levels.

Yes, yes. Sorry about that... I got my terminology mixed up. I meant aromatase inhibitors, not blockers.

What of these sex hormone binding globulin inhibitors... if I understand correctly, one would experience a dramatic increase in "functional" test levels just by taking such supplements alone, since a larger percentage of ones total test would be "freed" up? This sounds very promising, if it actually works in practice.

By the way does anyone remember when Red used to eat his own semen, as to raise his testosterone levels. I know he will kick my ass for bringing that up so rudely, but I can't stop laughing everytime I think of that (all in good fun). Can you imagine him gobbling his own spunk up everytime for the "testosterone boost"? Hahahahahahaha!

Did he really do that? Man.... I heard him mention something about it, but I thought he was just joking around. :O

What's funny about that is that semen doesn't really contain much, if any, testosterone at all.

A high fat diet is necessary to stimulate maximum testostrone production. Diets low in fats or products that contain fat, like a vegetarian diet, produce much lower testostrone levels than a meat or fish rich diet. The fat produces cholestrol, which is needed for testostrone synthesis. There is about 100mg of cholestrol in 3oz of red meat. Weight training also stimulates the production of higher than normal testostrone levels.

So what's a good SHBG inhibitor??
The first product that comes to mind is ActivaTE by DesignerSupplements. This a relatively new company that has put out some cutting edge products. They were the ones who released SuperDrol, prolly one of the most potent and still legal androgen around. There are a few other brands but i trust these guys before the others.
