What do you guys think about abortion?

Abortion is something I believe, most of the time, is viewed as something women would do on a whim. The majority of people who are against it, fear that legalizing it would lead to (young) women having unprotected sex left and right and having an abortion like their just having a cup of coffee.
The truth is it's far more serious than that. It's far more traumatizing than we men can ever imagine. A pregnancy is something we will never experience, so you could even say it's kind of condescending on our part to even think we should decide anything on this matter.
An abortion should be (and I'm a firmbeliever that, in the vast majority of cases, it is) the very last resort.
We can think it's inhumane to have an abortion.
But then you have cases, like a recent one in Brazil, where an 11 year old girl got pregnant from her abusive uncle. Some people criticized her (poor child) and her family for wanting have an abortion. She had to move to a different state to perform it, because people would stalk her up to the hospital just to boo her. What those self-righteous narrow-minded people weren't taking into account is that going forward with that pregnancy would most likely kill the baby AND the mother.
Abortion will never be just a black and white matter. There are all shades in a lot of shady areas and consequences.

This kind of topics can take us to really verify real honest statistics, would allow us to find out how many women get raped n get pregnant worldwide n how honest that information can be.
What are the odds for a woman getting raped in a developed country n getting the victim pregnant.

Underdeveloped countries could have a bigger number of women getting raped,n get pregnant this way.

Yesterday I was watching this debate between this intelectual that claims that yep abortion is murder, the moment the egg is fertilized Whit the sperm a new life begins this new human has a different DNA,His heart rate is different than the mothers heart rate,it's not tissue is a new human from the moment the egg n the sperm "fertilize" each other..imho

Yea against it, interesting argument if your wife or partner got raped and became pregnant, what would you do?

Terrible situation, what are the odds of that situation to happen.are quite rare but anything can happen.

How many times men are raising children that aren't his children, whether he knows or he doesn't know until time pass n he can notice that LOL DAMN.

But yeah I think Very few would let his loved one give birth to a child that was conceived through raping..imho

I would still have the baby. The baby didn’t do anything wrong nor will the baby ever know who their father was. Sometimes making hard decisions in light of morality we have to do.

Quite controversial, women have that option n yeah it's practically impossible to stop abortion, what about adoption after they give birth, If Real psychological, economical, emotional support were given to women while being pregnant that could be a possibility that could help them to change their minds.

I think abortion is something that often isn't taken lightly by the women contemplating it.
Certainly not a method of birth control, surely anyone that still thinks that is well behind the times.

What do I personally think? I think that if the female was raped, or otherwise sexually interfered with, she can be excused for think about the abortion, even with the tiny life inside her, think about the fact a monster has done to her, even though child isn't to blame, this was not planned, could the child be resented if she keeps it?

I have one personal experience of a woman I worked with years ago that was raped by the step father when age 14 years. She kept the child, had more with different men over the years, approx 6 in total but she was a very good mother that cared, worked hard. Just didn't stay with the men, perhaps the rape did that to her. Anyway her son from that crime turned out well, she thought the world of him and he gave her first grandchild.

True story ... But how many could do this and live with it? No right or wrong in that situation if the female has been abused, just so long as the kid isn't punished for the father's actions, they could even adopt, foster or if really desperate knock on some nice person's door and leave the kid.

Next I believe if the birth could kill the mother and it can't be C sectioned then it's a valid point, or if the child has severe birth defects and won't have a quality life.

Again these are reasons I would understand for having an abortion.

Okay with this all said and done, here in the UK the abortion laws are terrible. They allow a woman to abort very late indeed info the pregnancy, I don't know the figure off hand but I know it's one of the highest in europe.

That is when the child bid fully developed, it's not a foetus anymore, and that doesn't sit well with me. So, if a woman does consider abortion, please do so very early on, not months down the road.

I have also known a woman that had 3 abortions early on just because she didn't want any kids. I found it hard to take, and at that point yes the father should have rights should he not? He helped make the child, so all those issues exist, except in the early examples involving rape and anyone underage.

Most women would not consider an abortion from all the ones I have known, including friends, work colleague's, and families but you will have some in the minority.

Less developed nations with poor access to birth control may see it as a solution, but nations with strict laws like Poland don't allow much wiggle room except if the child has birth defects or a result from rape, underage.

I see lots of Polish protest lately due to tightening up that law, but it was sensible to protect the child and balance a woman's genuine need for the process i.e if raped, underage, child deformed otherwise why would anyone want to abort? It then grinds my gears, more so as stated if they leave it late and the UK is disgraceful in it's law for allowing that.

The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However, there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is. Jeremiah 1:5tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22-25prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be just as much of a human being as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27; 9:6).

With that said, FOr those who have had an abortion, remember that the sin of abortion is no less forgivable than any other sin. Through faith in Christ, all sins can be forgiven (John 3:16; Romans 8:1; Colossians 1:14). A woman who has had an abortion, a man who has encouraged an abortion—or even a doctor who has performed one—can all be forgiven by faith in Jesus Christ.
