Got it. If you're wrapping lightly but have good enough friction from the wrap for the normal stretches, it means the amount of bulk wrap is missing. When there's not enough bulk materials to prevent the wrap from sliding side-to-side during the twisting/bundling exercises, the bulk patting is not there to prevent the slippage at all, causing you to tighten the plates down even more.
So, trial and error. Most of us, including myself, has smaller flaccid girth. Since I'm not circumcised, I have to create a thicker and bulkier wrap than most of the brothers who are circumcised and with thicker penile tissues. As you have followed the video for wrapping, the brothers tend to start with somekind of tacky layer first, then the Theraband, follows by the flexi-tape wrap. Me, I start with Theraband, with a bit of moisture like water to increase the tackiness (double to triple folding the Theraband strip into a 3/4 to 1in wide strip), wrap tightly during a full flaccid state, then the flexi-tape material to further increase the bulk. The 1in to 2in width bulky padding is where you need to experiment on how much it requires to prevent contortional slippage at different plates' tightness pressures. Mine don't take much plates' pressure to hold my penis completely in place.
To prevent discoloration at the glans, make sure to squeeze out as much blood as possible from the glans while you wrap. Your glans may look like a mummy's penile glans, but that prevents the blood from overpressurizing while you perform moderate to high traction loading (pulling).
Sounds like you moved a bit during sleeping. I use the SiliStretcher2 strapped to my knee while I slept quite a few times, and movements that I didn't suspect I did caused me to have major discomforts in the middle of the night, and worst, blisters. The Forte is a nice addition that can be strapped sideways, rather than the to the knees. But the PeniMaster can do the same thing. Just a warning though. The Forte has constant consumable parts, such as the comfort ring around the penile shaft, and the penis sleeves. They use a 3mm to 4mm thickness, can it's constantly ripping. You can get similar thicker 6mm to 8mm version online for cheaper. As for the comfort ring, good luck in finding a substitute. Look into silicone donuts or cushion rings of the same size.
For red light therapy, we wholeheartedly recommend it, on top of proper supplementation. Look at brother's
@Haursen post for a very highly researched and in-depth analysis of his journey, including supplements. If he's more active in the forum, he could have been the next voted advisor for PE.
