This Site Has Major Virus/Pop-Ups Problem

I noticed on my blackberry and my pc today that This Site Has Major Virus and Ad Pop-Up Problems. Somebody is setting [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] up. So sad.
 
It's better today, but for the last few days, I haven't hardly been able to even navigate the forum, let alone post, from all the [words=http://www.phallosan.com/shop/catalog/default.php?z=eNortjIxtVKyL0pNszWxMFcrSSxKTy2JL0hMT7U1UisoykyxtbBQSy4tLsnPjS8uKcrMS7dVsgZcMMpbEbo%2C]ads[/words] and such.
 
We have been making some changes that have left us venerable to outside attacks but LIGHTNING is on top of this. It always happens when we make changes. The good news is we are a worthy forum for attack which means we have great value.

I can finally quote again!!! rofl! Yes, I absolutely agree, I have read stuff on other forums and I see how for some strange reason they really dislike us, but that I bet is because we are too good of a competition for them to handle, so in order to hide their insecurity- they start hating on stuff... :)

It is up and down, we have been working on it all day. We made some changes over the last hour that will hopefully clear this up. Very frustrating I know and it really hurts posting and traffic, I wish these spamming fishers would fuck off and leave us be.
 
These spammers are tricky but this just started happening either once you added somebody as a mod or you upgraded site changes. So find out if somebody is posting spam links on your main server or something. Or resset back to your old settings. Because [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] will fix it but a day later it pops back in. But so far it seems ok. Your old school original settings were good. So maybe just reset the configurations. Or find the hater. But I still feel [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] is a trust worthy secure site.
 
Damn whoever is doing that needs to know about PE instead of giving us a hard time here.. we can post and start threads now but yesterday the forums got hacked or something besides a virus was thrown here i think, because i dont watch adult entertainment guys hahaha

Seems like the problem's been fixed. I couldn't even get on here a few days ago on my S5. The page would barely scroll and if I tapped on a link, I'd get not only a pop up spam page, but my Google Play store would also open to some app download page.
 
The issue is with the vBulletin software. There are many other forums going through the same issue now. We may have to change to another forum software if this continues.

It's really nobody particularly hating us, it is just regular traffic spamming. Happens to all forums at one point or another and more frequently to bigger forums

It may still be in your cache. I'm not getting issues on my end on several different platforms. Lets see if more reports come in.
 
Adl.ly.com or something like that is the place I was getting directed to at first. But the problem seems fixed. Thanks Lightning.

That seems to be a [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] affiliate link. Probably a banner or something like that.
 
Ok we should have that fixed shortly. No more pop ups or redirects though, correct?
 
LIGHTNING- I am using my PC and have adblocker plus ON, using Mozilla as a browser. I have NO popups or anything- just the quote thingy. :)
 
i am using a Mac and mozilla. no pop ups today. but if i want to click both like and thanks i cant. i can click one but then have to refresh the page to be able to click the other
 
also if my notifications say i have however many new like or thanks and i try to click on it to see who it was, i can't. it just goes to a blank white screen

and i cant view attached images either

... I get tha absolutely same, but did not mention. Plus- I can't click "Show more activity" in "What's new?". :) Do you have adblocker PRO? Cause I've never had any pop-up issues, I think its cause of the mozilla and the adblocker PRO? You got them?
 
I can see the same injection Szy, this is very frustrating.

1 hour with no problems, hoping this is a good sign since they were usually back within 5 minutes before. So fucked up how a simple 4 lines of code can wreak havoc on a site as big as [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words].

I did a bit of research into this (while I couldn't log on), and I think adf.ly is legit. It's the "download manager" page that was a scam. I've also been having on-going conversations with the admin via email, as my Avast keeps blocking a site.securepayment redirect when I land on the main forum page. I don't think the site is out of the woods yet, but I don't have many suggestions as I'm not an IT guy.
 
adf.ly is legit, but it's a shitty website. It's a pay for impression site/CPM site where you can get by w/ just about any shady shitty links through them. I think they're using it just the mask the URL. Seems to be hit or miss every other day.
 
No more code injections over the past 24 hours, I think LIGHTNING has eliminated the source.

Everything has been smooth on my end for the past 2-3 days. A record so far since it took place :cool:
Attachments are not wanting to load though.
 
the last time I had problems was the day before yesterday (all day long). Since yesterday everything seems ok so far, but it came back a few times after it had already vanished, so I'm just cautiously optimistic.

It is totally gone now, LIGHTNING found the hidden files and they have been deleted. New security measures have been implemented so we are good. So happy to be able to say that after a week of hell.

I noticed the attack on MOS has reduced ever since we identified Threak-X and Jùrgen88 as two enemies of MOS. But I believe there are other bad guys too.
