I myself have a copy of the film from the USA that a freind got me and I have to say I didnt enjoy the film at all.
For me it was too American, if you know what I mean? I know it's a US film and US Marines but I feel that the whole story was just USA USA USA and no one else existed, it was hyped far too much and it seemed that the US were the heroes as usual rofl
I will get flamed for the above, but try to understand from a non-US stand point.
The film did however have some advantages for me.
One of those was it had a tight story line that reminded me of the Thin red line and had real emotion, wasnt way over the top like say apoclypse now.
Overall this film is those who love the USA and are from the USA.
Anyone who isnt an American IMHO won't enjoy this film.
If the film didnt have a tight storyline and some emotion than I say it was utter shit, but I'm willing to say its just a shit film instead and also at the wrongtime aswell, and yeah I know the directer is British so I guess praise to him because the film is so far up its own arse, its unreal.
