Terrifying first use of bathmate

This is a pretty scary experience.
Like you guys, i bought a bathmate to gain some size and see how it worked. I read the labels and all information on it, watched a lot of videos on how to use it and how to release the pressure.
I put it on in the shower and gave it a pump maybe every 10 seconds. I noticed I was only able to hit 6 inches which was weird to me since I have a 6.9 BPEL. After the 5 minutes was up, I took it off and saw that about half my shaft was pretty purple and bruised. There’s also a decent sized bruise at the base. It’s been about 20 minutes now and the dark color is starting to reduce a tiny bit but wow that was a terrifying experience. I’m not sure what I did wrong but to all the other newbies- please be careful with this! My dick is a little numb and definitely has a hard feeling. This was definitely a big wake up call!
To the vets- what did I do wrong? I felt a solid “suction” type pulling feeling at the base while I had it on but I figured this was normal.(confused)
 
Remember the first time I used it didn't feel any pain, pressure was impressive felt great now I got used to it and I feel ok, actually I have to fix one but got to be careful Whit the valve pieces inside,I'd like to fix it I saw a clip of a guy fixing one...

Right. I didn’t feel any “pain” either it was just a sort of strong pulling sensation. My dick doesn’t hurt right now either it’s just a bit numb...

Welcome to the forums.

It sounds like bruises, and these are very normal in penis enlargement with everyone getting them at some stage, more so at the beginning, or when they go up in intensity, or try something new.

I would guess that your penis has never been in a pump before, or even a jelq applied to it? in other words, you had a virgin PE penis, and even following the instructions, some men's penis are more sensitive then others.

Sounds to me, like your penis was more sensitive to the pressure, and you did nothing wrong.

Don't worry about the bruises at this stage, if you can purchase something called Hirudin cream, it helps with bruises.

We got a thread on the issue as follows


What I would try and do next, is when you use the bathmate, go with it in the bath and see if that helps you relax by being in a horizontal position. Its not a must, be if you can, go for it.

Enter the bathmate fully erect, this is important because it helps to ensure the session is the most beneficial due to the vacuum working on an already erect penis, compared to having to vacuum in the erection artificially.

It reduces fluid retention, and bruising to some slightly extent when going in erect compared to flaccid, or semi.

Once your in fully erect, just a few pumps are needed so you got a good seal ... once you have a nice seal, feel some slight pressure, no soreness or discomfort, just sit in the bath, or stand in the shower for 10 minutes at this pressure.

Dont use anymore pumps, and then once 10 minutes is up, remove the bathmate and see how the penis looks now.

You can then do another 10 minutes of the same.

In time have a crack with the 5X5X5 routine by DLD, this is simply performing 5 mins in the bathmate followed by 5 mins of a girth exercise like SSJ or wet jelq, then back in the bathmate for another 5 mins.

Each is repeated thrice, so hence the 5X5X5

This again works the penis more efficiently in the pump, reducing fluid and bruising.

Thank you for the advice red. I was planning on doing that routine too. I took time off since that happened and everything is back to normal. Gonna give it another shot tonight and enter erect and see if it helps. Thank you!
