I've been doing pushups and crunches extremely fast and to the point of exhaustion. When I do pushups at high speed, I can do 50 before my body gives out. With crunches at super speed, I can do 75 before giving out. Together, these probably take 2.5-4 minutes only. My question is, can I lose body fat and tone this way?
I'm not fat right now, but I used to be close to underweight (6'1" at 142 lbs) and over the last 2 years I've reached a noticable 170 lbs. I really just want to rid myself of oblique and back fat. I'm not the type of person that has the patience to exercise for over 20 minutes total (though, I've been walking on steep hills all month for 45 minutes almost daily). I DON'T want to lose ANY of my flexibility (I'm very flexible naturally, but when I was on the track team.. the muscle build-up caused me to lose some of that for a time). Does anybody know what I can do to rid myself of fat in the obliques and lower back.. maybe the fat bad, too
? Using "speed exhaustion" preferably, if someone can tell me it works without a doubt. I DON'T use large weights these days. I only work with 5 or 8lb weights, because I hate muscle mass and I gain it easily.
It'd also be nice to slim down my legs.. or entire lower body a WHOLE LOT... I gaine dmuch mass there in track. Especially since they made me use that leg press machine thing-a-ma-bob.
One last thing. When I was at Thunders a long time ago, there was this guy that was injecting himself, in problem areas, with this fat ridding thing... Any info on that or related things?
