I have had a strange obsession with words and numbers for the past 6 years. I thought this might be a good place to see if there is anyone else out there that goes through anything like this too.

These are some Im thinking of now and there are probably more. Is this a strange OCD I have alone? Why do I hear these and feel the need to add them up in all my conversations daily. Anybody else follow?

Words, not so much. When I was younger I went through a phase that lasted a few years. I was 'obsessed' with counting the edges on things. A TV for example or a refrigerator, I'd count the front edges, the sides, the edges on the top, bottom, then the inside edges of THOSE edges. I would do it with anything square or semi square shaped. I fidget a lot with my clothes as well. I'm trying to not be so bad about it, but I have to have some things a certain way and it does bug me if they are not. My shirt sleeves for example. If they inch up my wrists even slightly, I pull them back down. Creases in my pant legs when I sit down have to be smoothed out. I could go on and on. It once took me 20 minutes (a couple months ago) to get my side burns 'just right' while I was shaving.
