Shaving the Penis and Face...Forget the MALE RAZORS!

I have been shaving down there for close to 3 years. At first it was tough because of razor burn, ingrown hairs, etc. but it does get better quickly with consistency. Remember, a trim bush can add up to an extra 2" in visual length. Anyways, this is not my intentions for this post, it is to help guys choose the best razors to use to do the job on the face and the penis.

I have spent so much money going through the variety of razors on the market. 2 blades, 3 blades, 5 blades??? What is next 20 blades? The thing I have found is that MALE RAZORS are shit. They dull quickly and they are not too sharp to begin with. I have ventured into female razors and I have found the best razor ever. Next time you are at the store pick up a pack of VENUS RAZORS for women. These razors are unbelievably sharp and they stay that way for many shaves. They get closer than any other razor I have used and are much more economical. Male razors have a crappy exhaust area (the back of the razor where the hair is released) and they NEVER get close enough. The only draw back with the VENUS razors is they can't get under the nose too well and I keep a male razor just for this.

Clean up your bush and get a solid shave...GO FOR THE FEMALE RAZORS!

Great post, timely. Noticed a Venus 'Breeze' advert several days ago and wondered about them. SO uses some older style of Venus but I don't go anywhere near it. The girly razors can smell a little fruity though, they put fragrance in those soap and gelpack strips. Will try it this weekend.

I've been detesting my 5-blade(?) 'Fusion' razor lately, ... it's pretty good, and fast, with the grain, but try to cut back against the grain and it's horrible. The Mach II was way better at against the grain.

I don't shave 'down there', but I have used womens' razors for shaving my face for years. They definitely give a better shave. Womens' shave gels work better too.

Is it better than the Mach 3 power Turbo? My skin gets irritated easily and paired with matching shaving cream, this is the best razor I've found.

i've been using the mach 3...and it's not bad going with the grain and away...i have had razor bumps that can be annoying but they aren't a severe case...what shaving cream is the best to use when shaving your privates...i use this nivea sensitive skin cream...it seems to work ok

I use the gillette fusion vibrating one and I find it works really well. What I have noticed is every time Gillette bring out a new razor the spare razors for the older version go down in quality. I suspect this is to contrast how good there new razor is and you automatically think that this new one is much better. I tried shaving with a mach 3 the other day and it left me red raw then I looked at the brand new razors for it in the pack and they looked like they had been used.
