I recently just purchased the setup from him. I got it today and it was opened. There was an attempt to seal the package with scotch tape. I opened up easily, and it smelled like MOTOR OIL. It had MOTOR OIL all over the pump, cylinder, and hose! Definitely used. To top it off the coupling was busted and would not even seal, so the hose would not stay connected to the cylinder. After numerous attempts to contact him, he has failed to respond. Save yourself the money and buy from someone else. Here is the package it came in and you can see the motor oil!

How frustrating. You never know with Ebay.

You should report him ASAP with eBay! Get your refund and speak with eBay. They resolve scams and situations like yours daily so this is nothing to them. Don't be embarrass about the item because 1) they don't know know you 2) It bans the guy from eBay 3) refunds your money!

You can always say it was advised by your doctor to try pumping to correct a medical condition.

And thats why it doesnt matter what trade your in, you advise your customers to not try and save £5-20 on an item costing £30-100.. but to buy it from a reputable company who have a phone number and an address you can visit in case of any problems.

as for banning the guy from ebay, unless they have lots of previous claims against them similar to yours all it will do is give them a "Black mark". It wont instantly ban the guy.

Things have become very strict on Ebay lately. I got banned, with over 100 feedbacks, for something very minor.

I had good luck with that guy. I have been using my pump for months. I used it twice today as a matter of fact. Great price too. I am looking for a 2.25" cylinder now.. That's what brought me to this thread Guess I was just lucky.
