Please read and advise: My ABS Diet weigh-in results

I have been following The ABS Diet pretty faithfully since April 10th and have weighed-in every Monday morning. My weigh-in routine is exactly the same: every Monday morning I piss and weigh myself in my underwear in the exact same spot on the floor.

I do not loose weight easily. The battle of the bulge has alway been an incredible struggle. After several consultations with an endocrinologist, he has concluded that there is no exact biological reason, but that I do have a slower metabolism than many people. My bloodwork showed thyroid, testosterone, and numerous other factors right in the normal range. I began lifting around this time after about a four month break. I have always done cardio work at least two times per week pretty faithfully. Here are the result of my scale every Monday since April 10th. The first figure is my weight in pounds and the second is my "bodyfat percentage" although these things are notoriously inaccurate on digital scales (but I'm told a long-term downward trend indicates a true progress).

As you can see, today's results make no sense. I am trying to run it through my head. Could I possibly have been retaining fluid and my body now normalized? I am happy yet concerned and just want to make sure if this a breakthrough point that I remained focused and work harder than ever. Some may laugh at this as they could lose that amount of weight in ten days, but bare in mind this is a colossal achievement for how hard I have to work. Anybody have any explanations for how this could be off, or if there is such as thing as the body kicking in after week seven?
 
Man that's wonderful!!!You are loosing the weight slowly, but steadly which is what is recommended(as it will be easier to keep off in the future).As for the jump in extra weight coming off in today's weigh in, don't worry about it!Most likely you have tipped the scales(early signs of a metabolic state). as you have built some muscle, and the new increase in muscle size needs to feed in which fat deposits are a food source if you have also cutt down on calories as well.I say :give yourself a big pat on the back, your doing excellent!!!
 
Like Girthius said, the more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. Muscles are the burning house of fat, so as you continue to lift weights and get more muscle, you will continue to burn more and more fat. Don't be surprised if you start losing weight even faster than you just have as you continue to gain muscle mass.

You would need to gain a significant amount of muscle to notice an increase in fat burning,baring in mind he is following a fatlose diet then it is unlikely he will have gained any LBathmate.

penguinsfan good progress so far i'm not familiar with the The ABS Diet so carn't comment on it.

Bioelectrical impedence scales are rubbish,i don't no how overweight you are but 33-40 would make you obese,fluid levels can greatly affect the reading you get.

There could be many reasons for the sudden weight lose last week,has the diet plan changed in any way less carbs for instance,have you been drinking less water than you should,was it hot the night before you weighed yourself,you can loose several pounds just threw sweating.

One thing i would recommend is stepping up on the amount of cardio you are doing,2 times a week is not very much if the goal is fat lose,ideally you want to be doing cardio daily,first thing before you eat,walking for 30-45 mins at a time.

The diet within a couple days of weigh-in was actually worse, given the holiday weekend. It was extremely hot here on Saturday and Sunday, but I spent most of the time indoors and, when golfing on Sunday, I drank a lot of fluid. I stay up very late and drank fluids all Sunday evening while reading some job literature.

Down one more pound. I didn't have a real good week, as I missed a day of cardio for a job interview, so I am satisfied enough with that.
