OTS Hanging after 20lbs

I have been wondering about this for a while now, but it wasn't a problem for me until now that is. How do all of you guys that have hanged OTS deal with the heavier weights being slung over your shoulder for more than an hour? I have been able to do 20 lbs OTS for at least 2 hours-2 hours and 30 minutes straight for a month now and felt it was time to move up a few lbs. I mangaged yesterday to hang 23lbs OTS for 2 hours, but today my shoulder was sore from rope burn in addition to being stiff. I realize most will be able to handle say 30lbs for the same duration with little problems, but what did you guys do when the weight got too heavy?

Today I lost suction like 5 times with the Max-Vac so I gave up, but mostly due to soreness and didn't get in but a few minutes. (It all compounded things and stole any motivation I had to hang today) I can tell all ready this will get more frustrating. I got new sleeves the other day so I think the suction problem I had today will be solved when I go again tomorrow. The heaviness of the weights though are going to be a problem for me. Any suggestions?

Get a pulley rigged up to the ceiling or get a plastic bottle and put it under your shoulder i know Bigger says's something about he use to cut a milk cartoon up and use that to make it more comfortable or something like that anyway, IT helps stops the rope from digging into the shoulder.

I do what 10"advantage does- except with out weights rofl just need a fuckn string or rope. tie it on one end around the pipe in the closet, the other end about belly high and attach that via to your hanger, " lean wit it, rock wit it" :P just use your own body weight and that's all.

check this if you can understand that concept, I don't even need the closet,
I use the hinge on the back of my door rofl same idea, just one end around the top of the hinge, and the other to the hanger.

obviously for SO and OTS. :)

If you have the time and privacy, I'd imagine this would be better than hanging at a static constant weight.

i am going to try to hang ots and other odd angles , look out for my thread soon:) :)

That sounds cool lol Batman:D

Thanks guys for the help. Yeah it does fuck with my back a bit, but not as much as you'd think.(heavier weights will be a different story) I'll try again OTS my way and start looking for an alternative soon like some have suggested. The milk carton idea sounds simple enough.

See, I knew someone would be hanging upside-down or something sooner or later.

i tried hanging off my inversion table , but its not good . i ordered a bunk bed , and i will be cutting a hole thru the mattress and lying belly down "just like im sleeping" ill make a big thread soon

but is it possible you can post some pic's on how you hang OTS please man do it for me ...... and ill make a crazy thread in return i promise

oh yea i use elastic bands or a tie wrap over the sheaths , i still lose some pressure , but a hell of alot better than it was , good luck on getting new sheaths:s

Please can you give me an link to your information. I think this information is very interesting.

email him.

Iwant8,

Just get a rope extension, maybe 2-3 feet long. Put a loop in one end, and a hook in the other. While sitting in your chair, hook the weights on your extension hook, and put over the back of your chair, and/or your shoulder. Then hook the loop of the extension onto your attached hanger.

You will probably want to duct tape a larger surface to the rope, or use a lot of padding.
