I'm thinking about going to NYC for a long weekend since I have Monday off of school. Does anyone know of any cheap hotels/motels in or very close to the city? I'm talking DIRT, I'm on a college budget and don't currently have a job, type of cheap. I'm not worried about the place being run down, I just need a place to stay for a couple nights.

Did I mention cheap? :D

Dude I'll hang out with roaches. I won't be there except a few hours at night.

Grandma, I'm going to be there for 3 days. All night isn't an option. Although I guess I could sleep on a bench. Hang out with the homeless guys. :D

There's no such thing as a cheap hotel in New York. You might find a "cheap" flophouse near Times Square. Just watch your ass, (and wallet). That's all. Giuliani isn't mayor anymore.

nah...um hey just get some refrigerator boxes together and make a fort in an alleyway. Or find yeah just stay out all night...it won't be too cold. Of course it might rain...lol good luck.

Ok, so I'm not THAT cheap. I just didn't want to pay out the ass for a hotel. I found a place in Newark for $65, so I'm going to stay there. The roaches in that room are named Max and Pedro. :D
 
You might try posting on Craigslist that you are a college student and need a place to stay, that is if you don't mind getting killed or raped.

Crap guys. It didn't happen. At the last minute I got 2 paid gigs for the weekend, so I had to cancel my plans. Maybe next time I have a long weekend.
