New "Like Post" and "Thank You" Button Features on MoS

You will now notice a few changes on the post windows here at [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MoS[/words]. We installed a "Like" button and "Thanks" button here at the bottom of each post window (circled in red in screenshot below).

Whenever you Like and/or Thank a post, it will be recorded in the post as well as your profile and also the user that you liked or thanked profile (circled in red in screenshot below).

On the top right of each post you will see a "Post Thanks / Like" button (circled in red in screenshot below).

Once you click on it you can see all the Thanks & Likes Given & Received for that user.

If you go to the top of page in the Navigation bar and click "Quick Links" you will find an option for Thanks / Like Statistics.

Once you are in here you can see the latest stats for the top 5 people for Thanks Given, Thanks Received, Likes Given and Likes Received.

In this section you can also see the top 10 hottest Posts and Threads that received Likes and Thanks by clicking the Hottest Threads / Posts on the left.

If you click "Entries" on the left in this area you will find all the Thanks and Like entries that were made by users and for what posts

You will not see the "Thanks" and "Like" Buttons on your own posts, only on everyone else's. This prevents people from Liking and Thanking their own posts.

Please familiarize yourself with these features and use them when you like a post or want to thank someone for posting something useful.

brilliant! as i said ive seen this on another forum and thought it would be a great addition here. glad it has been implemented so quickly!

I started to go through and dislike all of youknowme's posts just to fuck with him, until I read the rules of the contests and how we're judged by our likes now lol

i was soooo happy when they got rid of the dislike button!!! i knew some mother trucka would want to do that to me lol
 
Awesome addition and maybe we could create a contest based on someones like/Thankyou stats.

I had added this to the monthly contest rules as part of the point system.

Tried it w/ Android Nexus 7 / Galaxy Tab & iOS Safari.

Guess it just doesn't work for mobile operating systems/browsers. I also can't even see if someone does a like/thanks.
Seems like they don't have the script setup for mobile.

I will mention this to LIGHTNING and see if we can get it on the mobile site.
 
We now have the "Likes" and "Thanks" buttons available on the mobile version of the [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MoS[/words] forums. You will find them in the bottom left of each post that was not created by you. You can not give likes or thanks to your own posts so they will not be available to you on your posts.
 
Sweet. I always wondered why I could never see those.

Also, I have never been able to view attached images. When I go to click on the little paperclip it doesn't do anything and isn't highlighted. Sometimes it will be highlighted but when I click on it it says invalid link or invalid attachment.

I don't know if that's another mobile issue or if it's an issue with my phone software or what.

Amazing that with all the hell you went through getting the site fixed you are back on improving things...much appreciation to our Brother LIGHTNING for is tenacious, unfailing efforts.
