Just got my mittyvac and when i pump the gauge goes up but as soon as i stop pumping it quickly goes to 0, i cant hear any air being released, I plugged the pump into the top of the tube, i didnt get a second as shown in the demo video. Is that why my pump isnt holding pressure? am i doing something wrong?

To clarify i didnt receive the 12" quick release vac-line. From the guide on water pumping it suggests that this line is needed to maintain pressure?

"Attach the male nipple on the 12" air-line to your MityVac pump cylinder valve connector. This is a valved connector that allows you to disconnect the air-line and still maintain the vacuum pressure and water in the cylinder."
I think i was supposed to get this too? please help im incredibly frustrated

Sometimes we have too many parts and not seeing the parts we need. Go ahead and put all the parts on the table/bed and take a snapshot to post. We can glance at it and see what's going on right away.
